I'd like to see a few more videos than the current two by third-parties. Not the greatest amount of promotional material so far...
Congrats @gsdsp on the release. And awesome that you made it iOS11. Those of us on older device stuck below iOS13 thank these developers
Agreed. The same price range as Baby Audio's iOS ports and hopefully just as good.
I've just had a lunch break dabble with MagicDelay and it's definitely unique sounding - highly recommended.
If it can do what FL Studio Multiband Delay does I’m interested.
@gsdsp - tried running a couple of instances in AUM and after a while they both crashed due to latency problems - haven't been able to replicate it though. Might just be me unless anyone else has seen this?
The modulation options in this are very interesting: LFO, random, amplitude follower, pitch follower, and a bunch of spectral characteristics (I’ll freely admit my ignorance on how these work). And - if the iOS plugin maintains all of the desktop features - you can set the followers to the input signal, or to one of two separate sidechain inputs. Set up four different delay curves and a variety of modulation inputs to control the XY pad position to morph between them, and you should be able to get some very complex evolving textures.
Influencers discuss audio plugins the same way cooks discuss recipes in their blogs.
I love/use it on desktop
love/use it on iPad;)
its a fab spectral delay, it is.
Hopefully get some iOS u tubers do a video on it.
I’ll probably buy this. No issue with the price for a desktop port, just makes me want to research a bit more to make sure it’s for me before buying it (which of course it will be! 😉)
And that is one BIG reasons why I can't take influencers seriously...
...it's more 'entertainment' than information that's actually worth something
I didn’t want that at all
Resisting…
And then peeked in the App Store and saw that US pricing is 19.99 (that magic penny effect softens the price apprehension). Then looked at the screen shots and saw the white and pink version that just screams cute! And three dice! (I love dice.)
Now the big decision is whether to wait for one of our regular YouTubers to give me a final push or cave immediately instead.
You know self Christmas shopping is getting out of control when you keep reminding yourself how much you are saving by feeding your iPhone and not getting an OP-1 field.
I did. Price is steep (even at %50 off) but at least it’s for the iPhone as well. Since neither Timeless 3 or OtherDesertCities are universal I guess this might be a nice alternative to tinker in.
I think this might be the convincer for me:
Hahaha! 🤣 Ever since I saw Loopop's video about the Field, it dispelled a lot of myths and hype I built up in my head about the Field and I'm like "nope, I'm good". No more GAS for that.

Thank you for bringing this to iOS. Some of us don’t mind these prices on iOS. Instabuy for me as I know your plugins on desktop. Thank you thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Indeed, not cheap like an ordinary delay, but does come with some wizard tricks and it sounds amazing.
The YouTube demo somehow reminds me of this track from Underworld
Thanks. It's not for me.
What’s good. It’s been a minute since I;ve been on here 😂😂😂.
Yes an update is at work and no it;s not BM4…..yet….👀👀👀👀
That's because it's "Juanita," by Underworld.
And as much as I love the song, it doesn't really show off the best of this delay, does it?
I get the impression a lot of this could be replicated with Caelum Audio’s Flux Pro. Not sure about the frequency specific echo though… And a point in it's favor, this simplifies some of the complexities of other apps to achieve a desired result faster.
Same here bruh
Ah! I was so close
Good ear!
I'm trying out on desktop and managed to stall Garageband with overload warning. Reason now takes VST3 (WOW!!) and I'm testing there as well and with just an audio file and this plugin. Looks heavy. How is it in/on iOS folks? Any usage report on this topic (cpu) would be welcome.
Indeed a very interesting experiment. I surely hope all the hard work pays out.
The iOS music app market is like an inverted bubble. For some reason, we’re incredibly lucky to have amazing apps, the exact same code and algorithms, at a fraction of the cost.
