Your best track of 2022

What do you think has been your ‘best’ creation of 2022?
Post it here if you want to create the ultimate collection of 2022 hits🪩

After a quick re listen to some of mine (it’s amazing how quickly I forget them) I think this is my best overall, actually a collaboration with @Paulieworld and I’m certainly not suggesting it’s his best by any stretch 😊 but it’s one that I was perfectly happy with the tune, playing etc.

The interplay between the piano and the other instruments is really great.

  • Excellent track @richardyot , great build up to the vocals, nice driving rhythm and some clever lyrics 👍

    Without a doubt...

The best Ambient piece I ever made this year, and once I still listen to repeatedly.

  • My best track(s) of 2022 my small album JazzItUp.

The ONLY track I made in 2022, so it's automatically the best I guess 😂 (I'm reasonably happy with it though)

  • The title is painfully discriminating against those (of us) who can't ever finish a track, but I'm enjoying these pieces nonetheless! 👊

  • Thanks you for your kind words @SLPGroundSoundMusic , you summed up what I was aiming for perfectly 👍
Not musically my cup of tea (as they say) @SevenSystems but as the comment on SoundCloud says ‘lots of energy, crystal clear sound’ and enough variation to keep me to the end ! Economy is to be cherished especially when you are happy with it 😊
I think I was the only one to comment in March on your album @Frenq , liked it then, like it now !
Very atmospheric @jwmmakerofmusic , I cringe when I listen to some of my old stuff so I always think it’s a good sign if you can listen repeatedly 👌
Sorry @ervin … perhaps best unfinished track?

  • This one, I guess…

  • I enjoyed this when it first came out in April @rottencat … lovely!

Hah, thanks! Yes this style of music never was anyone's cuppa really (I personally know exactly ONE other person who listens to EDM 😄), but thanks for listening!

Hey, That is a nice one! First time hearing it. Missed hearing it before it somehow, I usually listen to everything you post.

I haven’t recorded much this year, but I think I got the most response with https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/51430/red-sails-in-the-sunset-pure-piano-beathawk-bass , although I felt my best of the very few I made this year was https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/51191/goodbye-z-trumpet

Looking back over the year, I downloaded a lot of music apps but produced very little with them. I’m planning to reverse that next year.

  • mine's got to be this one (first official release in Oct)

Beautiful track Tony ! You can be proud!

  • Thanks @Dav, got both yours first time round but well worth another listen. Trumpet tone on the second one is lovely 🎺👌
Missed yours first time @cabo , excellent track. Really nice higher register to your voice and the harmonies were great. Liked the bits of instruments dipping in and out.
    Thanks @JanKun , means a lot 🙏

  • I don’t know about “best”, but I just really like this groove:

Well, me and the ghosts of Miles Davis’ electric bands of the 70s (if they all had broken hands 😸)

    Also, thanks!

    Very happy with this one.

Listen to M.A.D by JanKun on #SoundCloud

  • Probably this one . . .

Thank you so much mate. :) I also cringe when I listen to a lot of my old stuff from 10-20 years ago. Not that the music or melodies are bad, but me shouting words over the songs like 90s Eurodance is cringe. And some of the lyrics I wrote for some of the music I made are so horrible they make me want to curl up in a ball and pass on from sheer embarrassment if any of those productions were ever released publicly. 🤣

During lunch, I'm going to give everyone's track here a listen and give my thoughts. Sorry for being a bit absent-minded, lol.

 You beat me to it
I was gonna say my best is the one i'm yet to finish. But who am I kidding? Gonna end the year with no finished tracks

  • @SevenSystems
I do hope you're using Xequence there
What are you using synth-wise? Is it NS2 or did you do it on desktop?

been listening to all tracks posted her (with a little skipping through sometimes) but can't adress them all, please don't mind if I didn't say something specific to yours, I just couldn't think of any words of sense in those cases

@GeoTony great composition, arrangement and playing

@richardyot also a great track, could imagine this one having a bigger sound, a bit more defined in the details

@SevenSystems this one has a big sound and a lot of energy, sounds very good to my ears, and I also quite like the style, release ready I would say, am impressed

@Dav wow, what a nice playing of the trumpet (z), just beautiful

@JeffChasteen wild :) and also well crafted, liked

@lasselu nice atmosphere, could be a film score

@JanKun an interesting sound this one has, someone mentioned Velvets, fits somehow, liked too :)

@DavidEnglish very atmosperic too, takes it's time to evolve, lovely

overall a joy to listen to your work folks, lots of very skilled music makers in here

    happy festivities everyone

    & thanks @GeoTony

Thank you, thank you very much @ervin ! I’d like to acknowledge all of the people who kept interrupting me in the midst of my many great inspirations that evaporated.

But seriously folks, thanks @GeoTony for this great idea!

    ☝️

  • Great sax sound and playing @JeffChasteen , lovely bubbly rhythm.
So different to the one above but still 👍 @lasselu . Only just noticed the detail in the dog, I like it.
Missed your track when it came out @JanKun , loved the bleak ending. Was expecting the bomb to go off a few seconds after it finished ⚛️
Yes loved that one @DavidEnglish 🙏
@Paulieworld provided the piano and guitar backing @cabo so I can’t claim any credit for that😊
