I’d say something like MixBox is a lot more comparable... MixBox is the clear winner for me. That said, even with all the full unlocks, IFX is still half the price of MixBox

I tend to agree ; I've never used IFX again since I've got MixBox.

The IFX effects are great inside of PSP but as a separate app, MixBox definitely wins. I’m patiently waiting for IK to put it on sale

Yes, I don't mean that IFX isn't great - it offers great sounding FXs for sure - but MixBox is just (imho) far better in many ways and I much prefer it's UI.

Gospel Musicians apps and PSP IAPs are on sale including new TGX99.
Anybody compared their IFX rack modulations and dly/rev effects to Tonestack Pro? I already have IKM Tonex so don't need anything from amps or dist category.

The TGX-85 launched at the same price as a "standalone" ($10) and as "IAP" for the PSP ($10).
The Yamaha EX-5 (aka Blue Beast) launched at the same price as a "standalone" ($10) and as "IAP" for the PSP ($10).
The TGX-99/77 launched at $10 for "standalone", but $20 for "IAP" in PSP.

Is this 100% price difference correct or is it a bug in the AppStore? I read announcement thread with the initial price 20$ only, however if standalone cost $10 I would prefer IAP for the PSP at the same $10 price instead of standalone. Any chance that IAP will be at the same price?

I swear the TGX99 IAP was for $10 today morning (GMT+1) Now I see it as others at $20. Didn't buy buy it because I'm still not sure I need it. I already have great King Of Digital.

I use IFX as a quick & dirty test out some variety of effects on a sound if I don't know what I'm after, and then switch to a more capable alternative once I figure things out. It's quite good in that role. I've got coverage over most of their IAPs but will buy the Talkbox IAP for $1.99. Would I buy the whole rack again? Maybe not but appreciate having it around.

I hope GM will extend this sale for Neo Soul Keys Studio 2 too.

  • Wow for $5 IFX rack is kind of a crazy deal.

What’s the consensus on FM Tines? The demos sound beautiful but is it more capable than what I could get out of any other FM synth?

  • The Midiculous aka Gospel Musicians SALE on all apps and IAPs runs through November 30th. Enjoy!

Well, I think it’s different than a fm synth, it’s a rompler of FM Tines Piano sounds. I also think it’s specific sounds from a specific FM Piano, so it might not be doable to recreate those specific sounds on any fm synth. I think. I don’t have it but I know their stuff in general sounds great.

  • XinematiX has an IAP 50% off, Thunder FX is $4.99 usually $9.99

lol. Well knowing some sales last until the 30th, you have some time. Also I usually save up/wait until this time of year to get what I’ve been wanting, then don’t buy much for awhile afterwards.

Its hard to say because it’s still a bit early, we just getting started, lol. I definitely like gospel musicians stuff, but it really depends on what you are looking for/missing from your setup, and your budget. Mine is tight so I have a list, and I’m trying to hold off until those apps drop in price.

  • Geoshred bundles are discounted too.

  • Just a couple more weeks and Stria and Sparkle will be mine . 🤩 ApeSoft bi-annual sale ftw!!!!

Oh! What should I do? Wait for sales for swam or get the geoswam collection?😐

  • Is it still IAA only?

    Is it still IAA only?

Yes, and in the 7 years it’s been out it’s only at version 1.0.6. I would be so Happy if Korg made all their standalone synths into AUv3’s but I’ve kind of given up on that ever happening.

  • It’s weird cuz randomly korg made a couple of them have audio unit functionality out of the blue a few years ago, which kindof gives me hope? But yeah, their IAA synth apps a still sound great … and at least they’re the kind of synths I would play as ‘a standalone performance instrument’ more than other synths where I would do more programming and jumping around between apps.

Korg usually has super long holiday sales that cut prices about 50% across the board too

  • Actually it looks like their sale may have started cuz all their apps are 50% of now and their IAPs in gadget discounted as well. Haven’t checked module IAPs but I’m sure they’re discounted too…

And I only had a few more IAP gadgets and a few more of their synths to have all their apps, yay! I guess soon it will be time for me to start collecting volcas or something 😅
