Yea as long as you have a valid reason, You shouldn’t have a problem getting refunded. I’ve only ever returned one app, and I had a mix up with an IAP purchase and basically bought two versions of the same app, so I refunded the regular version that updated to pro, and kept the pro version, no problem. The way I look at it is… It’s there if you need it but something I only use if necessary, and if I have a good reasoning. I wouldn’t hesitate if it was justified but I would also do some digging to see if I could resolve it on my own. Maybe it’s user error, or about to be fixed, or something that can be/will be fixed…
It must, because I own it and it's hard to imagine I would have paid full price for it
Seriously though, I think I've heard of the IAP going on sale a couple times a year, usually for a modest 50% discount. I think you can get appsliced to alert you when the IAP goes on sale.
edit: deferring to @HotStrange on the size of the discount. If memory serves, I might have gotten it for $20 US, or about 33% off.
Yep! I got it on sale a couple years ago. They usually do a half off sale once-twice a year.
That is a good point. There’s definitely varying views on this across the world.
from AppSliced I got email on 23/12/22 : $29.99 down to $16.99
will definitely get it , thanks
Great cheers
Yes. With a much better UI too.
Looks like i need to wait till June ish if it only goes only goes on sale twice a year. Thanks
Is it possible to record in real time or is it only step write?
Only 8 different drums in a kit?
Cheers
Sorry but AFAIR Drum Computer was discounted twice from 29.99€ top 19.99€. Please correct me If i am wrong.
In Australia, I rarely get refunds.
@Poppadocrock I always have a valid reason but their claim system doesn't allow me to enter that information and even when I do get the chance to explain the issues I am always, yes always told a blanket this app can't be refunded.
In Australia I have asked for 2 refunds in about 10 years.
I got both without any problems. Both were asked for a few days after purchase.
The new one doesn't have a random button?
That's a bummer.
There you have it folks. Column A and Column B.
I got the friendly App Store judge and you got the one who was in a bad mood that day
The real problem is there is no way to plead your case. A genuine operational issue is lumped in there with drive by newbs who don't understand their apps or just wanted a demo.
Same in the Chinese appstore - you unfortunately don't have any option of right of return as they do in the EU. Instead you have a handful of choices like 'doesn't work as expected', 'a child or minor accidentally made this purchase' etc.
There is zero transparency as to what their decision process is. You may be lucky enough to get a refund or not, but at no time will you ever be given any actual explanation for why your case was rejected and you also, at least initially, can't even write a sentence justifying yoir refund request in your own words.
When you can't demo the product and there is no meaningful cost to the dev or even to apple (any costs to apple of processing refunds are more than covered by their slices of sales revenue) in giving a refund, anyone should have the right to get a refund as often as they like and for whatever reason, within a reasonable time period.
There is an argument for exempting certain apps from this, such as games which could be completed within a few days and never used again, but certainly for apps that are supposed to be more than just a novelty, this right should be there. So in this at least, although you may be paying higher prices in the EU and some will object to the interference in the 'free market' (which is never really free anyway), there are certain definite benefits.
Oh that’s weird, I’ve never had one turned down.
Changing Landscapes is free again usually $1.99 - grab it for free
NO REALTIME RECORD !
YEP !
Y’WELCOME .
Yeah, but which country are you in? It makes a difference, as mentioned above.
No real time record as far as I know. If I’m using DC it’s usually because I wanna deep dive into some drum sounds so I’ve never tried it. But the randomization options are cool.
A land down under. Down under what I’m not sure. Australia for the uninitiated.
Haha, I guess you got the same nice guy Simon did then 😝
Contrary to popular opinion, we don’t like to offend people down here
It has multiple random settings doing partial randomisation instead.
The Equator
Hi @israelite
I have 2 notifications from AppSliced about DrumComputer IAP:
$29.99 -> $19.99 , date: 23.11.2022
$29.99 -> $16.99 , date: 23.12.2022
E-mail notifications for specific IAP discount are great, but a full story of every IAP on website would be perfect. I wrote a long time ago to AppSliced asking if they can also publish all IAP price discount history for all apps as well. Unfortunately no answer. Maybe it's not that simple, I don't know...
Yup. Had a case where a new app flat-out didn’t open. Was denied refund, I appealed with explanation, was denied again.
Thanks. Just realized I have it on my Ipad but haven't paid for the unlock. It is extremely good but at £29.99 I will pass until a sale.
