    Poison is also discounted ;)

Ooh so is Pure Acid! I almost got that yesterday but not sure how well It’d works in GarageBand and ended up getting Pulse 84 Square Synth 2, and Sunrizer instead lol

Edit I saw Jade Starr’s video and she uses it in GB towards the end so I might end up picking this up anyway …

The 3 you got are 3 of my favorites on iOS. The sequencer in Square Synth is so fun. But I really can’t recommend Pure Acid enough. I’m not even a huge acid guy (I do like it though) but it’s versatile enough that it can do way more than that.

It’s tempting…I just need to watch some videos on it as it doesn’t fit our style of music but I’m gonna watch a few to see if we can get it to fit. I LOVE Poison so JimAudio is a developer I support .

Doug has done a really great video on it if I recall correctly. Also listen to the group Orange Juice. They used a 303 often for more funk and synth pop stuff and it works very well. Also it can be used as a multi out midi sequencer. Agreed on Poison. It’s fantastic.

Thinking purely in GarageBand terms…if used as an au will I be able to play the bass parts using the built in keyboard? Also with the midi sequencer part of it…would I be able to make a sequence and import it as a midi file like the bram bos apps?

I just loaded PA as an AU inside GarageBand and was able to use both the GB and/or the PA keyboard.

For the second part, are you asking if you can export the sequence from within PA and load it elsewhere or load a midi file into PAs sequencer?

The former… like in Ripplemaker standalone I’ll make a midi and load it into GarageBand

So you can make a sequence and go into settings and export that midi file. That’s what you’re asking correct?

Also that said, I believe it only works for the bass sequencer.

Yup…. I might get it then! Time to go check out some more videos

It’s one of those apps I expected to like a lot but ended up absolutely loving. Report back if you end up grabbing it!

I used to not like the Ice Gear synths based purely on presets … until the other day thanks to seeing Spider’s patches . I used to think all synth apps were the same until I noticed each one really does have its own character, which doesn’t become clear until you design your own patches

Bandcamp is fear2stop.bandcamp.com It’s myself, my wife Dana, our 15 year old daughter Jaymie, and 3 friends who work remotely . • @satchnut I think it’s something many of us have done, but I made it a habit over time to always check for one before I buy. I basically just realized this but I never buy an app the first time I’ve been to its App Store page. Either I’ve been eyeing it up, or it’s something I’ve seen before. If it’s new, I’ll visit, read the description, check developers apps/bundle, see if I can find a video or a thread with some info then go back and buy. So just that little bit of hesitation, even if it’s only 15 minutes, can help you catch those little things. It likely won’t go anywhere or change price in that short time, but you might find out something important about the app or a bundle situation.

Definitely; one can tell by trying to create the same patch across multiple apps; no two sound the same

Appreciate it! What’s up is only a tiny fraction of our recordings but definitely a great sampling 😎

You definitely sold me on pure acid btw …should be getting my money soon (I know Easter delayed things ) so can’t wait to get on it! Even at full price it seems like a bargain

And if anybody reading this does not own Poison 202… get it!!! Especially for $4.99 !!! It is incredibly and pairs very well with Pulse 84 and Sunrizer (esp since Sunrizer and Poison are both “inspired” by the Roland JP-8000 apparently )

I’ve never really knew how that thing worked, so I typically take it with a grain of salt. Thanks for confirming that though, cause I never really tracked it, I just went by what I noticed over time.

I think I am! My bandcamp money should be here in a day or two so as long as the sale is still on, I’m golden ! My wife wanted Redshrike and it’s her turn to pick but I’ll sell her on it I’m sure 😂

Haha love that you guys are in it together 😂 I have all other Iceworks apps besides that one but I really want to get it some day. Got a link to your BC? I’d love to check it out.

The BC stuff is our “fun” stuff as opposed to the streaming platform stuff . I just helped Jaymie with her first solo album using BLEASS Omega, Mood, Synclavier Go and IVCS3 specifically.

Oh yeah 100%. It seems ridiculous at first to buy them all but they really all do something different.

That’s super cool though! I’m excited to check your stuff out when I get a day off this week.

Awesome! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. It’s a really fun app. Also completely echo your comments about Poison. One of the best synths on the App Store for sure.

Dude this is AMAZING…spot on recommendation! Hell for just the tweakable synth bass presets alone it was worth the purchase. I paired it with Phase 84 and it’s sounding sinister

  • Synthmaster 2 is on sale as well…it’s pretty amazing with 1000 presets. Really quality IMO.

Shoot, I bought their “mega-preset bundle” one year, which gave me over 4000 presets for SM2. I think I get all future preset packs too!

The "SynthMaster One Expansions Bundle" is on sale in SM1, but the "SynthMaster Expansions Bundle" in SM2 isn't discounted.
