It’s absolutely fantastic. I’ve only had it for a week or so but been having a blast with it. It’s great for making some really unique stuff.

They do. Not super frequent but at least a couple times a year. The bundles get discounted as well. They haven’t been around for too long, so there don’t an extensive hits, but you can check the pricing history of each app on appsliced.com

It’s one of my favorite drum apps, especially for using samples mainly because you have up to 5 velocity or round robin layers for each pad. 64pads. The built in patches are just average, but the sequencer is cool.

I might have a slight bias towards it because I had DS1, built lots of kits, and they all get automatically migrated over to DS2. Built more kits, so I have a bunch of good kits I made in DS2.

Yeah the round Robin thing gets brought up a lot. It’s the only drum machine that’s that extensive with it correct?

I think I’m gonna grab it. Seems cool and almost half off.

@HotStrange Drum Perfect Pro has THE best round robin and velocity features of all the drum sequencers. Somewhat tough (by tough I mean YOU have to program it there is no press a button to generate a groove) to program... YMMV

Kola with a mozaic script can do round robin. https://patchstorage.com/eucalyptus/

That said I use DigiSticks ALL the time. My fav is to use other sequencers to sequence it, most notably Drum Computer (remapping with MFXConvert and with de-ghost midi tools to thin out the notes if needed)

Thanks! I’m not really in the market for that (regarded DPP) as I don’t use realistic sounds much, I just think it’s cool Digistix 2 has it. I ended up getting it and I’m really have fun with it so far. Some cool preset kits and the randomizer is a blast. Anywhere that has some good (preferably free) drum samples I can get to on the iPad?

  • @HotStrange try googling threads on this forum. Like Sample threads or Desktop sounds. Really nicely recorded REAL drums can be found on DrumDrops, but you wanted more synthesized drums

For those I'd recommend FAC Drum to roll your own (samples synth and envelopes galore) or an oldy but goody SeekBeats or similar like the more finicky DM2...

Love Drumkit and Seekbeats! Wish Seekbeats would go AU. It’s one of my favorite drum machines. I’ll definitely check our DrumDrops. Thanks!

When you have a drum kit zip file, and then you unzip it, how/where do you place the wav files for EG Pulse for example ? I know you can load stuff like a sampler, but I can’t figure out how to replicate it. I did it once successfully and i am either using/doing something wrong or I moved something, and I can’t figure out what. So where do samples go for EG Pulse? If anyone knows, thanks

ALSO while i was asking, does anyone think the Waves bundle plug in for cubasis 3 on sale for $10 is a must have?

I wouldn’t say that they’re a “must have”. I use a lot of Waves plugins on the desktop but I rarely grab the ones that I bought for iOS.

-Waves Tune RT is cool if you need that “Autotune” vocal sound quickly

-H-Delay is a really good delay. No complaints

-Waves L1 on iOS is kind of garbage. It distorts far too quickly to be useful for a mastering limiter.

-Q10 works as intended but there are other EQs (maybe even free ones) that do the job just as well

-Audiotrack is decent…I just forget about using it.
