  • There may be some tweak FF can make or maybe they need Apple to do something on its end.

  • If you bought the apps individually (which I did when they came out) it works out pretty well. I was able to get Twin 2 for £3.02

    I'm pretty happy I waited :)

  • I see that I must have used "complete my bundle" to get two creative fx bundle apps...as a result those purchases don't count towards the creative bundle.

Completing the fx bundle before Twin 3 came out and then buying Twin 3 only cost me about $5 USD more. A minor bummer but I don't regret the choices.

This was intentional by FF. One is Creative FX Bundle, the new one with Twin is Creative Bundle. Looks like they simply don’t want existing users to get a discount.

Yeah I’ve got that too: £74.99 to complete my bundle, or £24.99 for the missing app.

    Pass.

Yup, I bought two individually, then "Complete my Bundle" to get Volcano 3, so maybe that's nerfed it for me too.

  • I've sent Fabfilter a support email showing a screenshot of my Appstore as below - hopefully they will update the bundle in some way.

Looks like App Store bug to me

Check the creative fx bundle and see if it thinks you own it.

Yes it’s showing as PURCHASED which is correct as I bought Vokcano 3 using Complete my Bundle.

Apps only can count towards one bundle. When you complete a bundle, you can’t use the apps towards another bundle.

...but I will not do so without even the slightest discount...

So you'll have to wait the next sales 🤷🏼‍♂️

  • The bundle prices are calculated using the regular prices.
Most apps have been introduced or had sales at lower prices so that might screw the bundle prices beyond sanity...

I'm happy with FF Twin 3 and the price didn't scare me...
...on the other hand I'm way more picky nowadays on what I spend my money on.

Yeah that kinda sucks in a way, but I did get Volcano 3 pretty cheap, so another way to look at it is this:

If I'd bought Timeless 3, Volcano 3 and Saturn 2 individually at full price (or their usual 25% discount), then they would have been available to contribute towards a Creative Bundle "complete my bundle" discount on Twin 3. But with Volcano 3 I've already had my cheap app from the set - I think it was around £5 or something.

So if I go ahead with a Twin 3 purchase at full price, I would still end up with 3 apps full price and one cheap, so I guess it comes to roughly the same overall spend?

  • Looks like Fabfilter added interface scaling to their plugins. Hopefully we'll get it on iOS soon. Modifying modulation amounts is difficult at the current interface size.

  • I guarantee the normal price is worth it for those waiting for bundles. I was really expecting it to cost more after demoing it on desktop and it’s put an end on my purchasing of VA synths unless something really unique comes out

  • Very tempted by this one. How’s everyone finding it?

Sonically: the best of the best.
Interface: couple of bugs that need addressing

Awesome thanks. I like what I’m hearing. I just have a couple of other apps I’m wanting to get first. How does it compare to other VA type synths on iOS? Is it that much better?

  • I have bought all FabFilter plug-ins for my iPad Pro since they became available as an AUv3. When I want to purchase the bundle, I must spend €89,99. The other 3 are already in my possession. Without the bundle I pay €29,99 for Twin 3. Apple effed up somehow 😂

  • i wonder...if one taps in on the "purchase" button (of the crazy bundle price) does the thing recalculate to a reasonable price.

granted it would be scary to try, and expensive if it fails, and one ends up paying the bonkers price.

I own every FF plug of all bundles but i think i bundled in some combination with earlier plugs. hence the f##king insane price Im seeing ($74.99)

Did you previously purchase the creative fx bundle? If so, those purchases counted towards that bundle. The cost to purchase a bundle is bundle price minus the amount you have spent on the bundle components excluding what you spent on components credited to another bundle.

Nope...Not in the UK anyway. Still asks for £74.99!

I think you would only know if you actually went through with the tx. Same as what happens sometimes when u bought an app but the appstore doesn't show it as purchased. Only when u actually press buy does it tell u u actually already bought the app and can download it for free. I find it bizarre that apple has not prioritised fixing that. Or is it really so hard? No idea but it's annoying af...

I did hit the purchase tab but obviously I'm not going to go through with the purchase. I too have all the Fab Filter apps. I appreciate it's a great app but can't afford to shell out £24.99 especially as I want Drum computer!

Did you previously use comparing bundle to purchase the creative fx bundle? If so, the App Store doesn’t let an app’s purchase price to be used for credit towards two different bundles.

    This ☝

I guess FF had no choice but to create a new bundle, otherwise anyone who had bought the older bundle already would have got Twin 2 for free. But if Apple had a more flexible policies in the App Store this might be less of an issue.

As things stand the only people who can get a good deal are those who bought the older apps individually.
