i did buy some combination of apps as a bundle. but come on. same in new invented bundle make the bundle $75, as if im repurchasing the overlapping apps. come on. I know. shut up and buy it by itself. or just shut up
I think it's partly an App Store thing: you can't benefit from 2 separate bundles.
So I guess FF were caught in a spot: if they just included Twin in the old bundle then all the owners of the old bundle would get the app for free. So really they have no choice but to make a new bundle, but then because of the way the App Store works that means those who bought the old bundle can't benefit.
Situations like this are probably infrequent enough that the App Store isn’t built to notice that the complete my bundle price is more than the price of the remaining components. While it would probably be simple to address, it probably doesn’t occur frequently enough to be on anyone’s radar to address.
Not sure, it was some time ago unfortunately. I know I purchased some of the FF apps before there was a bundle though.
You probably completed the bundle. You can check in your purchase history.
Not entirely. Bought two of them for full price and when the third plug-in came available I had the option to ‘complete my bundle’. Maybe that’s the reason. Nevertheless it’s quite confusing now with two separate, almost the same, creative bundles.
I tried to purchase the new bundle but did not confirm the payment with Face ID. The price still is €89,99 if you purchase the creative bundle. So no need to try anymore. 💸
Kind of reminds me of the Pro Q2 - Pro Q3 thingy that happened a while back.
I don’t know how the App Store pricing works in calculations, but with the way the bundle is priced it basically suggests that they have been paying me to use their apps. ($119 to complete the bundle) Maybe, I’ll buy it one day. For the record I think I bought one at full price, one at a slight discount (I think) and I probably completed the bundle with Volcano. So, it basically is saying that I have managed to save $65 with my previous purchases which I think might be a bit of a stretch. No rush and certainly no need to purchase with all of the other sound making apps waiting patiently for me to rediscover them. Premium apps indeed.
The AppStore page doesn’t say but I wonder if £24.99 is the normal price or intro discount?
Whatever the price is now is the full price.
Maybe the apps were £19.99 before inflation.
Paid £50 for bundle and not £60.
So you pay £25. Or £75 for bundle.
Found emails.
£21.99 for volcano and timeless 3.
£4.01 for saturn.
About £50.
I found the Apple website where you can look through all of your past purchases. I don’t have a habit of keeping too many of my old emails.
This is the Apple support page explaining how to do it. In case anybody is interested:

Turns out that I have spent a total of $85 including one full price (Saturn), one at 25% off(Timeless 3) and I completed the bundle for $13. So factoring in inflation of pricing over that time of about $14 and then adding the full price of FabFilter Twin the bundle would be a discount if I didn’t already own the other three.
The $119 makes sense if you were looking at the four apps as a new purchase..
I think I’ll just go and make some tunes. It’s a lot more fun than working my way through App Store programming decisions.
OK thanks … at least it helps me decide not to buy now, but wait for a sale at some point. Also want to wait and see if they release updates e.g. to fix the multitouch issue, if that hasn’t happened already.
maybe Auria Pro will offer an upgrade from Twin 2…
hah
Is there a way to load all the twin presets in one fell swoop with a zip file or something?
I extracted the zip-file in files.app and used the 'import folder' option in the Twin 3 preset menu.
I did remove the similarly named presets (Clean and Default Preset) in the Twin 2 folder prior to import as it seems to confuse the 'Default Preset' functionality when two presets have the same name regardless of the folder they are in.
Hm. I’m not able to select a folder. It just opens the preset folder and all the presets are greayed out. If I select “import preset” instead of folder, I can import individual presets. But not getting why it wont do the folder thing.
SCRATCH THAT. Figured it out. You just hit open from the directory you want to load. A nice iOS surprise, didn’t know that worked like that.
Oops
Here's for those who have waited for Dan Worrall's Twin 3 video walk thru...
Beat me to it!
Oh man! Was about to rewatch Parks and Rec but this episode will do!
That video perfectly illustrates what I dislike most about FabFilter plugins. Dragging invisible connections between inputs (for me anyway) is completely unintuitive and violates first principles of good UI design. If I cannot immediately discern what something is doing by looking at it, I can’t use it.
Dragging invisible connections between inputs to make awesome sounds... Inspiring video!
Though as Dan points out, a simple Viking Synth can sound great, and might even sound better in the mix.
Not immediately being able to discern reminds me that Mr. Clark once wrote: “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
"the best analog-modeled oscillatars". Is it marketing or it sounds better than other synth? I already have too many synths, I try to calm down my GAS but if it really worth it...
It is really a matter of taste , I got it but so many synth that I forget always to use it 😂 I do a big clean up on synth to have only seen tall ones that want to become expert. Still on my list is to use the twin 3 to see if it fit what I do.
I spent all the day trying on multiple environments all my synth. After sound it a master of taste , I have deleted all the Bleass one including free one as I don’t like the too metallic agressive sound on Bleass one but it is my opinion I love big sounds or subtle ambient granular ones. Hopefully all my Bleass where free ones and bee bought IAP.
In my music making I need first an sound that bring me emotions to create around.
I love fabfilter eq, compressor, limiter, they are in my top 10 used plugins but this is just another VST synth really. It doesn't stand out amongst the other VST synths. You can do with VST vital synth for free or on iOS use drambo.
Hat are yout top 10 used plugins ? I do a spring clean up so it is useful to know ?
