It’s still better than zero updates

Exactly . At least the developer is doing his best to make sure all issues are taken care of ! I WISH certain others were like that .

    Why the almost daily updates?

Oh my, a developer that actually cares about their products and doesn't let them fall into obscurity. Suspicious indeed.

It’s an actual question, don’t overthink it. Ease up “mate”.

Let me ask it another way. Does anyone know what’s been addressed in the 11 updates?

I understand and applaud doing rapid bug fix releases after a major release, but that quantity and cadence is a bit of a red flag that things aren’t getting tested enough before shipping. Maybe the dev should consider a beta program for feature releases. I’m a big fan of KQ apps but they can be a bit rough around the edges.

That makes sense. Perhaps those things, if there were issues (seems there may have been), should've been addressed prior to release.

I am sure he hoped to. No iOS music developer can afford industrial level testing. When doing major reorganization of one’s code, there can be issues that it takes a lot of people using the software differently to discover…and you might make what you think is a low risk fix and simply have overlooked that it wasn’t as low-risk as you thought. Problems can cascade in some cases. It is every small developer’s nightmare.

Beta test groups are super unreliable/unpredictable.

People throwing shade of the woulda/coulda variety might want to quietly be appreciative of the dev’s being conscientious rather and keep the shade-throwing at bay.

Explained it better than I could. Lol. I was taking more the developer's side in this.

Not throwing shade, as I said I’m a big fan. And I’m not calling for “industrial level” testing. There’s a wide spectrum of approaches one might take between “industrial level testing” and “unit tests pass, ship it” and I’m gently suggesting that the dev might be a bit too close to the latter side of that spectrum. Other indie devs take different approaches with different levels of success.

I understand and appreciate the challenges and constraints that indie devs have to work with, but they’re still selling a product in a marketplace, and it’s perfectly fair for members of the community to point it out if there are quality issues, so other people can make the best-informed choice about how to spend their money. Many folks on this forum need to be conscientious about their app spending budget after all.

We owe indie developers our gratitude and patience, and we should be constructive in our criticism, but we also owe each other honest and fair advice and feedback.

That’s my opinion. Feel free to mute me 🙂. Have a great day everyone.

Isn't Neo more like a preset player with limited controls?
