  • Oh and you really have to modulate some of the parameters with a midi FX f.e.....this is really awesome and it can be a very very musical FX. I love it.

  • When you start to modulate the parameters you unlock the next level

And the next level still, uses more than one combustor 😅

  • FAC Medusa and that new Masher thingy can be nice rough playmates.

Throw in WOOT and we release the kraken

  • Yes this really rocks. One of the most interesting recent fx releases for sure.

Funny I just did the same thing, with help from AU3FX Peak and got some madness going.

    Beepstreet is just fantastic.

  • Do the input or output controls act like a mix control or amount.

Why dosent the waveguide resonator have a mix amount. I think theres a 0 point though.

Use resonators on sends, so would need there to be a mix of resonators or switch via amounts.

At the cost of not being able to transfer stems to a daw. To not redo resonators ( I think )

Is it possible to take my money now? I’d hate for it to have already been used on milk, eggs, or housing once this comes out.

MAN. That thing that happened to that innocent-generic sounding drum patch at 3:13 😂🤣
It’s like that thing that happens when your teenager leaves the house and comes back late for the first time, with a piercing and a new tattoo having had their first true experience of hanging out.

    FTFY

Can’t wait to try this on some things!

  • What i always wanted (i know it might be over the top) would be an option in the Hz setting to set it to notes/scales...at best with glides. Maybe possible a manual way but it is some work.

    🤙

  • But it has a midi in setting to do that! See the manual in the standalone app!

What @Gavinski said, and it’s great fun!

  • my greedy self wonders if they will expand on the features one day :)

  • Is there an online manual? Don’t have this app (yet) so can’t see the build in.

  • This sounds so good. Planning to buy this, but as so many have mentioned using a limiter, is there a limiter built in to AUM (or Drambo)? I don’t particularly want to buy a limiter app too, unless there are free ones?

AUM has a free limiter in the internal audio fx, and much more besides!

Any app that uses resonance definitely requires a limiter (or even better, WooTT). :) Never know about those sudden spikes that'll make you jump out of your chair. 😂

I love what WOOTT does to the sound and the harmonics it brings out but I only know what it’s doing half the time 😂 great app though.

Basically, it squashes the absolute shiz out of a sound in a multiband fashion, lol.

It definitely does that 😂 but the thing I love is you can throw it on any track and all of a sudden all this previously unheard harmonic content comes out of the woodwork. It’s magic, I think lol.

    Exactly.
    Such an underrated app.

  • trying to automate some parameters of combustor in AUM via mlfo failes - any tip? thanks!

i cannot automate any knob in cubasis.
    (simple write automation)

In Just a few seconds I was able to automated every single knob inside Drambo,
    if that helps 😬

  • have jou tried it also in AUM (what would very essential for me…)?

Sure the parameters are exposed for automation in AUM!

As mentioned there is a free one in AUM but I think it’s worth buying a really great one. They’re kind of a necessity. For me anyway.

Plus, the standard Apple Audio Units are exposed in Drambo, one of which is a Limiter.

That’s true as well. And Jax has a series of free apps that make those standalone as separate AUV3s.
