It often happens that someone wants to use an app for live work and there’s some absolutely essential feature or app stability that’s ruining the dream of a perfect piece of kit. I’m sure many of us have a list of apps that fall short and the developer isn’t
Jumping to address the missing detail.
Thankfully… there’s still real hardware that gets designed to hold up under “live” use cases.
Little something something… with HHD…Logic
Edit... test..
Does this work with ibassist ? Like his other Drum app integrate with ibassist .
Thanks 🙂
When you press the “Make Drummer” icon in iBassist, Hip Hop Drummer is not on the pop-up menu
but with Ableton Link enable on both apps you can start/stop from iBassist and flip between apps.
The lasted IOS versions make moving between apps a bit easier.
I’d expect to see upgrades to integrate this new drummer into the iBassist menu but who knows when?
Usually, I think some details are added for bass sounds and bass lines to make the combination more effective.
Hip Hop Drummer actually has about 9 historic genres of what is grouped as “Hip Hop”. In my opinion the sound
Kits integrated are really impressive covering decades from the Roland TB era to modern looped drum tracks.
Having great inspiration with iBassit midi Export to Logic (Midi converted to Patterns)... Patiently waiting for the Make Drum feature for Hip Hop Drummer... would be a blast..
Nice work… you know your tools! I was waiting and waiting to see Hip Hop Drummer since I really enjoy what it brings and I would fit right in there too. No need to wait… just pick the right rhythm manually that fits the groove you’re seeking. The kits in Hip Hop Drummer are some of Luis’ best work yet.
Hopefully he is working on an iBassist update, maybe it’s why there is no ‘Make Drum’ for HHD as of yet..
Sending Grove to iBassist will be interesting also..
Such great apps to work with…
BTW that ‘Make Drum’ feature creates some unique drum beats…
Updated… Thanks.. Nice..👍
Does it actually make new patterns? I thought it just intelligently matched existing patterns. I’ll have to check again.
Hip Hop Drummer has been updated, now creates and matches existing patterns, also adapting swing 8th and 16th coming from iBassist
And today...
Is the sale for today only? As in ends at midnight?
Yeah, you have to be quick on the Lumbeat sales. They don’t last long
Right on. Thanks!
Glad I saw this this morning! Snagged at 30% off.
There’s only a couple I’ve yet to purchase, but I’m quite happy with the Lumbeat collection that I have already! Still think Soft Drummer is my all time favorite. Then I have Funk, Rock, Jazz, Mid-East, Future, and now Hip Hop. And also happy to see iBassist updated to bring Hip Hop to the “make drums” party!
Still “need”:
Afro/Latin
Brazilian
Reggae
Indian
I’ll wait for more sales on these, and grab ‘‘em up eventually. Fantastic work as always @LuisMartinez
It does... Right?
Edit... The New Way for Finger Drumming... Just hit "Make Drums".. with one finger..
And you can still edit it... in the Editor...
I’m so happy and thankful for @LuisMartinez drum apps. They make me more creative by not having to learn how to be a drummer. The best grooves in so many genres! And I learn how to be a better drummer.
I open this app several times a week just to listen to the grooves it creates (and I do use them too). The killer feature and the one that I use/abuse the most is the flex swing. I just can't get enough of it. Plus, I just like the graphics of it. Just my 2 cents.
How’s the variety in hiphop drummer? Does it have multiple genres of hiphop?
The sounds are top-notch and well varied: acoustic to electronic and lots in between.
The magic (for me) is in the Dice buttons: whole grooves then per drum / per layer allows one to use their ears and have endless satisfying surprises. Then there’s all the time-manipulating magic. Conclusion: essential!
Thanks! Not sure if Lumbeats do Black Friday sales but it’s definitely on the top of my “want list”.
Hip Hop Drummer now sends grooves to iBassist
A W E S O M E
And here I need quick help please.
I’ve have both hip & bass😝
Open hip stand alone
Open AUM
Open hip hop as IAA inside AUM
Open IBassist as Auv3 inside AUM
Go into hip choose groove etc. and send groove to ibassist
Ibassist NOW open as stand alone and it seems like it gets the groove,
but not the auv3 doesn’t change.
What is the problem or the solution. Please help I don’t want to give hip hop back.
🙏🏽🖤🙏🏽🖤🙏🏽
You must save your Basslines in the Standalone and it will be saved in the Auv3...
Pretty sure, Mr. Lumbeat will have everything AUV3 in the future..
Hope so, but his only comment about that on this forum is that it's not possible for the AUv3 plugins.
(I'm sure it is possible though, so I hope he realizes that and does it.)
So that’s the way. I send from hip hop stand alone to IBassist and save the groove there and also the groove in hip hop. Than I can use live patterns or song mode to play those who are same.
I hope I get it
@RajahP & @wim 🙏🏽 thank you
It will be amazing.. I’m stunned sending grooves back and forth between IBassist, Indian drummer all the drums line editor generating new drumbeats.. nothing like it.. I can settle for IAA iBassist again (Standalone).. until.. Let’s see what BLEASS ARP brings to this party..
Yep.. Line edit , send back to HHD, other drums.. and be amazed..
Edit .. you can save all of your edited patterns and It will be saved to Auv3.. sorry..
If I recall, that was a couple of years ago. Maybe, now that iBassist has been converted , that will change. Who knows.
No, this was specifically within the last few months. But now I see that the comment I responded to was about bringing the rest of his apps to AUv3.
The context switched. First the subject was the "Send to Drummer" feature. That is the feature he recently said was not possible for the AUv3, and was what I was talking about.
Hopefully, as he did with AUv3 in general, he'll eventually see that it can be done.
