  • That looks amazing! :) Only 20 quid, and no subscriptions. November 20th can't come soon enough, lol.

I’m guessing this will require a newer model iPad than I have, but it really looks fantastic.

Watching the presentation video now. LOL. You can work on a document size of 1 million x 1 million pixels. That’s future-proofing.

  • Thought Procreate already does animation?

Yes, but this is clearly a dedicated animation program aimed at pro-level work, but with a workflow streamlined enough to make it accessible to non-pros. It won’t turn a person with no talent or experience into a Disney animator, but it looks really solid.

It does but it’s very basic compared to this. They have said that Procreate will get some new animation tools off the back of this too though.

  • Have been looking for hardware requirements without any luck; if anyone knows or finds them. please post - thanks.

Hopefully it will be compatible with a large range of iPad models and canvas sizes/layers will just be limited according to device capabilities as is the case with Procreate?

The entire drawing engine and file format have been re-engineered for speed, so both apps will benefit. Looking forward to hearing more about what they did to achieve this.

    A trillion pixels? Holy crap!

  • Keynote here:

  • I'm completely speechless! incredible!

amazing company and a new piece of software which will create a new breed of artists.

    sign me up.

  • wow. this looks amazing for motion graphics! I absolutely love procreate.

  • Great stuff! 🍻

  • having undo history embedded into the file format is genius, please all DAW's add this functionality!

They must’ve made a real breakthrough on compressing these files because do this with a Photoshop file and you’d be looking at massive sizes for every project.

  • This does look good. Also worth considering Blender 3D's amazing animation tools for 2D - grease pencil etc, which can create 2D looking animations with parallax scrolling etc from a 3D work environment.

Yeah…sadly from I could find it works with M1 and M2 IPad s so my 2020 IPad Pro is out of luck, otherwise it would be an instabuy. 😭

I'll buy it if I can, then use it when I finally get a newer iPad Pro (in 10 years)...

I wouldn’t be so sure; the way I read it, it is fully optimized to take advantage of M1 and M2 devices capabilities but it didn’t imply - to me at least - that it wouldn’t still work on less powerful devices.

They won’t limit their market to only the very most powerful devices unless they absolutely have to I’m sure. Pure speculation on my part though, I still haven’t found any concrete details about hardware requirements.

I hope that’s the case, I definitely want to upgrade my IPad to an M2 but I bought a 1tb 2020 IPad Pro and three years just seems like too soon for it to be replaced

Man I really hope it does run on my IPad, I’m trying to contain my excitement until I can verify it does, and the fact that it’s a one time purchase of $20 is so amazing

  • This looks sick. I only wish it were coming sooner.

  • A M A Z I N G

  • Ohhhhhyeaaaaa can’t wait!

  • Oh. Wow. This is kind of insane. Consider me excited as hell.
