I grabbed it, haven’t even opened it yet…
Sad I know…
I just know it’s gonna set me back a ton of time and I can’t do that at the moment
Here's a short example and an in-depth production look at an animation made by a master using Procreate and Procreate Dreams. You won't believe what this guy can do with these tools.
same here. But it is not sad. It could be interpreted as a good sign. We are involved in other tasks, grabbed the app at discount price. Dreams will take a lot of time to learn and master, to produce meaningful animations.
There will come the time where we will open this app for the first time. A time where we have time for this.
How many times have I used the term 'time' in this comment?
Enough that I laughed because of it
Super talented artist. Good share 👍🏻
Absolutely.
I’m sure that some people will love this Procreate Dreams update!
We went for ToonSquid.
Procreate Dreams can't compare, still to early; beta, for double the price.
Toon-Squid is battle tested and is the most used by (animation) professionals.
Dreams has so much hype mostly because the company made Procreate, that is the most used by (illustration) professionals
Also I remember of a comment somewhere recently (on Reddit) from somebody saying how cumbersome was to learn how to integrate drawing from Procreate and sync them with Dreams..... honestly being the same developer team I would expect the state-of-art integration between the two.
Agree totally. All hype and terrible convuluted app. I got a refund. ToonSquid and Callipeg so much better and felt like coming home. I mainly use ToonSquid because of the ability to save sequences as symbols.
I am an old Macromedia Flash user...... so yes, no way that I'm gonna work without symbols!
Holy sh-t I just saw this now 6 months later! The ability to turn off undo/redo gestures and have the buttons display permanently were the features I was looking for! Thanks for thinking of me Luxthor.
Yeah, I didn’t want to bother you by mentioning your name, but you are probably the reason they made this feature that fast. 🫣 Now, we need a darn lasso tool, haha.
It’s coming…apparently!

😂🤣 Oh trust me, they remember me alright. Two years I fought to get the same thing implemented in ProCreate itself, and so they were most likely like "Yeah, not worth it, let's implement it asap." They should've implemented that from the jump, but ah well.
💯 Perhaps by next update. Can't believe that wasn't implemented from the jump. 🤣 It's more basic than modern Pop.
Pretty much comprehensive list of missing features. 🤔😂
Procreate Dreams 1.1
* Selections in Draw & Paint (including "Lasso")
* Transform in Draw & Paint
* Adjustments in Draw & Paint
* Cut/Copy/Paste in Draw & Paint
* Merging of layers
* Control over fixed vs dynamic scale painting. We’ll make it obvious the resolution you’re painting at, and it’ll be easy to have a fixed scale painting experience (Procreate style), there’ll be no more surprises.
* Brush Sliders with size/opacity memory
* Per brush stabilisation options
* Timeline Edit Improvements. Drag Drop Multiple Tracks/Content/Keyframes
* Quick method to change movie duration within the timeline
* Advanced Export Studio
* GIF import/export
* Customisable keyboard support
* Video transparency playback + export (HEVC + ProRes)
* Improved colourspace handling with imported videos
* Luminance masks (the option to use the luminance instead of the alpha for layer masks)
I hope this will be released soon. 🤞
