Testing the Ableton playground and if I close the window it goes silent and start again if I reopen. Ableton Link and 'Play in Background' are needed I think. Also, there's a back arrow but no return ditto ... I want one🙄😁

I did go to settings in the Stand Alone version but that one looked more like a promo page than one for settings: dark mode and a player option (which did crash the app when I tried) is all, and then a lot about the app.

Anyhoo, it's cool but needs ... more (I did buy all variations - lifetime)

Hi, could you delete the app and re-install it ? Hope that can solve the dark mode crash

Need to correct the typo in the title btw Anh - should be 'speech' not 'speed' ☕ 🔥

    Thanks Gav, ^_^

That't your take on what I wrote? Nothing on Link or app silence when closed in AUM? (has it been discussed already? Just got into this thread)

It wasn't dark mode but player option [ Media player / AU player ] I pressed AU player as I don't really know what would happen.

I think the silence when closed is due to an apple limitation. Blue Mangoos WebSDR and Web Audio both have to remain open to produce sound and they mention it in the apps description that that’s the case. I guess the dev needs to put a similar disclaimer.

Also for the back button do you mean back to home page or just back to the previous page? If it’s the latter I agree. For the former, just highlighting the search bar takes you back home to the favorites page.

@Jumpercollins seem to be doing just that (closing window) in his video (top on previous page) so .... Anyway, shouldn't 'play in background' sort that?

Edit: @HotStrange Yeah Bandlab definitely plays with the window closed.

Hmmm strange. I didn’t see the video, I just know the other apps I’ve had that do similar/same things will only produce sound when the app is open.

According to Blue Mangoo theirs is coded with Java and the script stops running when it’s closed. If this one is also coded with Java then it’s gonna be the same.

Live streams like websdr and online radio stations act differently to hosted audio - generally they will stop if the window is closed, where hosted audio will keep playing.

lol I realize that, I’ve used AUM for many years now, I was just referring to this specific app since those similarities are the only through line for a reason it may be happening as I only experience the issue when using a live streamed website.

No problem! Just wanted to clarify for anyone reading and looking for a possible reason :) sorry if I seemed harsh or annoyed, it sounded different in my head but reading it back I see how it could sound that way 😅

Btw for @Pxlhg or anyone else, it actually seems random for me at the moment. Some sites do and some don’t. Not sure if it’s the app, apples limitation, or website dependent.

One (not perfect) workaround is to just make the window as small as possible and slide it out of the way. Or you can use the stream inspector. Once you play something, it appears there and you can run that with the window closed.

+If website using Web Audio API for playing music, then for sure stream detector never be triggered because there is no stream. Audio comes from AudioContext (main part of Web Audio API). WebAudio API is old technology, slow, but some sites still using it. You have to keep the plugin's window open(can be very small) to keep the audio alive.

+On the other hand, If website use stream for playing music, then you dont have to keep plugin's window open.

WebAudio API is old technology, slow, but some sites still using it. You have to keep the plugin's window open(can be very small) to keep the audio alive.

+On the other hand, If website use stream for playing music, then you dont have to keep plugin's window open.

Thanks for confirming and clearing that up. I figured that was the case but didn’t know the official reason why lol

Ability to concatenate video is something I've been needing. Thanks

Can this normalize in bulk all files in a folder?

No atm, but I will add it soon

  • Nice update @anhnd101!
I've played a little with the new 'Time and Pitch' module and it sounds good - what algorithm did you use?

Thanks for your support, I just used normal algorithm, no special technique.

Version 1.1.8 is out, this update concentrate on Audio Editor

    • On export, you can write id3 tag to exporting file
    • On export, you can let's the exporter split the file into n equal part (n range from 2 to 32)
    • Browser in now compatible with state saving and: you can run splice.com inside auv3 host app

    short video of time stretch:

Thanks, been really enjoying the app lately. About to leave you a review now :)

I’m curious, what are the differences between the 2 editing IAPs? Also is the audio joiner literally just combining 2 pieces into 1?

*The Audio Editor Basic IAP idea is provide basic functions such as cut, crop, export, id3 tagging, split, spectral editing etc. But I really dont want to lock those basic features because for example, you want to try spectral editing, you need to unlock first to use it and I dont want to lock it. So in final, I just lock the ability to export. To export to file, you need Audio Editor Basic IAP. Feel free to try basic features before buying it
*Audio Editor Utility IAP will allow you to use current and future Utility modules. There is Preview button to try it before unlock it. (I will add more for next update)
*Audio/video Joiner concat 2 or more video/audio files into one. For video, make sure all your input are video. if one of them is audio file, then it become join all audio files into one.

Thanks for the explanation. Bought the read aloud and AU but haven’t gotten those because was unclear what each did so much appreciated. Great app you’ve made 🙏

@anhnd101 Hi, is there a way to turn on dark mode? (The white background is killing my eyes!). Also, this looks to be a really useful app 👍

Once you go dark mode it’s hard to go back.

I'm just getting the reference here now, class 😂

If I’m gonna make a joke it’s gonna be classy. I wasn’t sure if it came across or if it was “Kosher,” so… Thank you.

In an all seriousness it does seem really bright once you get used to dark mode. I also keep my screen on the dimmer side most of the time.

Same here and my wife is the exact opposite. Her brightness is always at least 75-80%. Mines always less than 50 haha

  • @anhnd101 is there also a try before you buy for the audio joiner? Also I can’t find the try before buy button for the audio utility.

  • It would be great to have a widget for quick access to files from home screen.

  • I like how I was wondering if I really needed this and then I finally tried it out and was like “oh shit, I absolutely need this.” What an incredibly useful app
