  • Interesting. I don’t think it’s out yet.

  • Let’s see what this one has to offer. Seems quite interesting.

  • They must feel sufficiently threatened now that Logic Pro is on iPadOS.

  • I wonder if it supports auv3's didn't see anything on their site?

  • 'Not available in (my) country or region.'

  • Yea no thanks, and interesting that it’s late to arrive…hmmm

  • Actually kind of looking forward to trying this. The arranger thing at the top looks good.

Got the same just now. I’ll definitely try it out. The marketing says it allows creativity to fly on iPad, desktop OR both. We shall see if that is true

  • If someone managed to try this already, could you confirm whether this allows to export arranged clips to midi or just wav + pro tools format? (app description suggests the latter, but maybe they omitted midi export)

    Thanks

  • Out here, in U.S.

Well I’ve been messing around with it and my first impressions are: Ableton Note is way more fun. Definitely feels more like a sketch pad/desktop gateway than Ableton Note which I feel stands on its own much more

  • Hopefully Ableton Note gets some updates like this. It’s a little odd to see Avid get there before Anleton.

  • Honestly this feels like it’s more for people who already use Pro Tools. I don’t, and this ain’t selling it to me at all, but I can see why if you had Pro Tools this could be handy

  • Out in uk
Haven’t got my iPad to try
It says you can export the audio as a wav file
Doesn’t state weather you can export the midi, except to pro tools

I have ProTools and tbh this doesn’t really appeal to me as a ProTools user, I also have Ableton Live and as an Ableton user it kinda appeals to me but not really because when I want to work with a clip based workflow I just use Ableton and as far as clips go Ableton just does a great job and also as far as midi instruments goes Ableton runs circles around ProTools and plus I have a Push 2, so I’m just going to use ProTools as I always have which is just mainly recording to audio tracks with midi here and there.

  • Keeps crashing......will not open on my 2018 iPad Pro !!

  • I’m going to give it more time before I really decide if it’s for me, but is it me or is it missing some basic features as far as the step editor goes? I don’t see basic tools like cut copy or paste or am I missing something?

    ouch, that's a bad start

    I have faith

  • Being that it’s free and I’m a sucker for grooveboxes, I’m downloading it. Worst case I’ll delete and wait for updates or move on. Best case I’ll have some fun. No harm no foul 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • What I see here is a completely free, non-subscription app. My only gripe is it isn't on the iPhone, but beggars can't be choosers in this case. Looking forward to trying it out. :)

  • I’m kinda liking this so far. Tight interface design. Decent effects and controls built in. Lots of instruments and effects included. And completely free?

  • It doesn’t have a sampler!? Even Ableton Note has one 😅

  • Can anyone confirm a potential bug: pressing 2 or more clips to change them causes a crash for me. Happened twice and I lost everything in the project I was working on both times. Pretty much defeats the purpose of the app lol

this is great app for absolute beginner to learn basics of music making .. like if some of my friends would ask me "i want to try make music, where inshould start" i wouls literally tell him "grab ipad and protools sketch and go back to me after few weeks i tell you more" :-)

other than that, i don't see any use case..

  • are there included some sounds, loops, synths?

I agree simply because it’s free but if they have $5 I would recommend Note or Logic first. Even GarageBand.

This app isn’t bad by any means but it can’t compare to what’s already out there. I’m curious to see where they go with it because it has potential. I was surprised by how in depth the synth and effects are for $0. The samples instruments aren’t have bad either. Note is just way better and more refined.
