  • A guy makes one somewhat condescending, which could also be taken humorously, critical remark and gets waylaid by our 20 ‘outraged’ champions of virtue..

After he repents for the slight (was it even? is everyone really that sensitive here or just a charade of bullies?) he is condescendingly rewarded with their esteemed psychiatric advice and a pat on the head.

Yep, we’re all sweet little friends here.

And I don’t see the dev, surrounded by his team of 20 sycophants ever attempt to rein them in.

What a circus this place is. Glad you take yourselves and your duty here so seriously. We all feel so safe now.

Don’t let your guard down guys!

Rubbish. He made several dickhead comments and a few (20 lol) quite rightly called him out over this.
Your post is so condescending. If you find this place to be a circus full "champions of virtue" and "sycophants" you know what to do...

  • Argh. Even if you put someone on your ignore list you still get their posts visible if people quote them. Oh well.

  • Came to share my love for EG Nodes and instead got my blood boiled LOL. Some people, SMH.

At any rate, I'm in love with this app, bravo EG!

I hope you find all the straws that you are grasping at! Will you be using them for all your strawman arguments?

Just wanted to take a moment to say congratulations on the birth of your son and thank you for the bundle of fun you've released in EG Nodes. I'm almost ashamed to admit it took me a while to find the right approach to using Nodes. Even after watching all the videos I could find I tried to force my AUM centric ideas at it and I didn't feel like I was getting anywhere. It wasn't until I stopped using the midi fx node and focused on all the other ones that it really clicked. I think this app will definitely help me break out of the dreaded 2 bar creation pit I tend to get stuck in.

  • I swear there must be a solar flare or sumthin

  • A question: coming from the legendary GR16, is EG Nodes or EG Pulse better? Thank you

  • I answered myself, GR16 for life! Unfortunately both Nodes and Pulse are too immature, but I'm sure Elliot will make them great.

  • I still can’t believe this apps development. It started off amazing but every update is better and better. This is my pick for groovebox /DAW style app for 2024

    Gonna be hard to top

It doesn’t seem to me that any of those three apps are in the same category as each other. GR16 is a well done groovebox of the electribe ilk, Pulse a drum machine, Nodes a unique thing unto itself. They don’t seem to me to be things that make sense to compare to each other.

  • Nodes is in a sphere of its own; akin to DRambo but simpler and with its own unique features . Nothing is like EG nodes on iOS.

  • AASamplePlayer works great for simple playback of loops and one-shots.

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/aasampleplayer/id6443626189

  • Sorry, I'm Italian, and I don't really understand what you're saying, I just said that the two projects are still immature, while the GR16 is as if it were the Roland MC909, not the Korg

Drambo?? I don't like it, much better Reaktor or the legendary Dynamo also from Native Instruments

Any chance of a light mode for people that just have trouble seeing stuff when it’s dark-ish mode? I’d be happy to pay for something like that as an IAP.

I added a feature request in case you want to upvote and/or comment: https://eg-nodes.canny.io/feature-requests/p/light-mode-color-scheme

  • @ElliottGarage I just wanted to say thank you so much for your vision and hard work on this amazing app. I have a love/hate relationship with sequencers, and find most to be either underwhelming or too complex. EG Nodes strikes the perfect balance - it's fast and intuitive to get a multi-voice sequence going quickly, but deep enough to provide plenty of variety without being tedious to programme.

I've been using the AUv3 in AUM to sequence my Eurorack gear, and it's been an absolute blast!

  • So how is the work progressing? Have all the problems been solved? Come on, I want to have fun like I've had since the GR16 😆😆

  • update submitted...quite huge too.
Hopefully it will be online in few hours

    @ghostclub thanks!!!

  • A somewhat technical question, but what program uses to create an app like yours? I've always been curious

XCode, the apple standard dev environment
