Sweet! I think that actually sums up why I (and others) would need MPE.

Hopefully it's on the roadmap! This app looks great and I'd love to make use of it. ❤️

@Tentype Maybe you can get round the limitation at present by using Midi Recorder in the midi FX node then send out to a MPE capable iOS synth.

I may be wrong on this as not to hot on MPE as yet just a thought?

100% there's multiple ways around it. It's just a pain to use workarounds all the time for such a core aspect of most hosts. Not that MPE is core, but working around the sequencer in a sequencing app... 🤷🏽‍♂️

These days my main workaround if people don't support MPE is using something else entirely. 😂

Nodes looks fantastic though so I'm hopeful.

Yer true MPE and iOS is still very early days, with not many hosts adopting it. Multitrack Studio is the only one I’m aware of.

  • Sand, Logic, Audio Evolution, and MTS as you said are best options for MPE right now.

Always room for more! Especially in a Groovebox!

  • When I'm on the couch or in bed I mostly use my iPad in 'Portrait Mode'.
Currently EG Nodes only supports 'Landscape Mode' but if I'm the only one wishing for it to also support 'Portrait Mode' then please ignore this message...

    Cheers!

Exactly. + 1 for portrait mode . Also +1 for not putting any important controls under the bottom ipad bar that lets you slide between apps. And if not already mentioned, a competent plugin browser that isnt a nightmare if you have > 400 auv3s - something that uses the whole screen preferably

yep, same. In bed or in a chair portrait mode wins. Of course, I am buying/using this regardless of the final decision. Looks amazing.

  • I have sooooo many sequencers, grooveboxes, and DAWs but I feel compelled by something promising and novel. Pre-ordered

+1 for that actually, totally. Always great when piano rolls can record mpe. I don't think it's a trivial thing to add though. I remember it was a TON of work for Victor, the Atom2 dev.

The workaround @Jumpercollins mentioned is good, for standalone use, but since auv3 can't be loaded when Nodes is itself being used as an auv3, it would be handy if Nodes had that. Handy, but understandable if it doesn't get added if it would be too much work, imo

Yeah. A huge list of them i never use. Pre ordered. I think this will be different though

I use em and im thankful for all of them. Some are smoother than others for particulars.

I'm crossing my fingers for it, but not holding my breath. The reality seems to be that if developers aren't thinking of MPE right out of the gate for their sequencer then they rarely want to put in the work after. Synth developers seem to come around over time sometimes, but sequencers... not as often anyway.

    Nodes looks cool though 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽

  • A Legend is Born… Thanks for making.. Can’t wait for the 8th of Jan…

    Thank You.☺️

Definitely. This is more of a host like AUM but with automation and built in (fantastic) sequencers. So less of a groovebox. It’s awesome though. Been on the beta for a while now it’s one of my favorite apps in recent years.

Been great testing this one out on the beta watching it grow. Definitely a fun and fast way to put song structures together.

  • Someone has to ask so it may as well be me: is the preorder price the regular price or discounted? Looks really interesting.

  • @RajahP @HotStrange @Jumpercollins thanks for the support!

    @Robin2 it's an intro price

Great, thanks for clarifying, really useful to know. Cheers.

  • This one is different. It’s very intuitive… compact without a lot of scrolling… you can get to more complex settings, but the interface stays out of your way… it’s even an ease and joy to use on a small iPhone 11pro screen… and the generative node is a blast without a bunch of esoteric menu dives.

The dev is extremely responsive with evolving the interface where needed.

Highly recommended and simply a pleasure to use! :)

  • I guess there's no automation?

  • Yep
On iPhone this is a joy to use
Fun quick and looks great also

I definitely prefer portrait format in lots of situations and would wish for it to be supported as well.

  • I'm curious, does anyone know whether:

    • nodes supports the sidechaining capabilities of AU's like compressors etc..
    • nodes supports multi-core processing?

    That's crazy. Thanks.

I guess EG Pulse and sEGments will be, or are updated to run flawlessly with Node.
edit... And with Node running as an Auv3 (natively). That would be insane...

    Thanks.
