High End Hardware Emulations for BYOD IOS

Looks like they might work with BYOD IOS.
Nice selction of gear emulations - LA2A, 1073, Pultec, Fairchild 670, etc.
I believe though that these are essentially harware IR captures that aren't adjustable.
There are few free profiles.
I'll try and download a couple a little later and post if they can be accessed in BYOD IOS.

Yeah they work with byod. Just loaded the portico one and the daking compressor. Any free guitarML stuff I’ve found has worked so far. It’s nice though, reminds me a bit of what Acustica audio does just not as in depth. Still have bought any of the paid ones yet but I have been tempted to. Also from what I read on gearspace, turning the oversampling off seems to work better than on since it’s IR based
Hey thanks for this. Did you just “buy” the free ones and load it into the standalone version? This is a good fine if so. BYOD is one of my most used apps.
I downloaded them but I’m having trouble loading them. It keeps telling me invalid within BYOD and I’m not sure.

@HotStrange yeah I just grabbed those free ones I just saw the chandler one too. There should be a json file with the name that you just load up here’s the file contents on the portico and daking on my phone with the files and then some pics and a graph of the profile

It’s my understanding that GuitarML isn’t IR based but uses a machine learning method to model signal processing and so can model the sorts of non-linear processes that IRs don’t work for. The faq indicates that it cannot handle time-domain effects.

ok this is actually insane .. i was wondering how this could work .. well, i realised that in BYOD presets, in menu there is option "show netlist" which actually shows SCHEMATICS of given module - so obviously they are mulated down to circuit level (something like Roland ACB used for early boutique models - this is way how to make a much more precise emulation of real analog gear than just ordinary DSP math), and you can even ADJUST values of components - so tweak the parameters of emulation.
This is trully insance. This shifts BYOD from "not much interested in this" into "holy fucking shit one of best plugins on iOS"
Wow, I’d love to be able to edit or import my own circuits in this way, i only know one rather shonky open source windows vst that does this…

I have tried some of the stuff for NAM - Studer, Neve etc. It’s not too bad.
wait .. that's the point of this library.. you can get some configurations from there and load them into BYOD :-) If i correcly understand it ...

Currently there's no BYOD folder visible in Files.app but once it's in place the procedure should be the same as on the desktop?

aah that's smart.. so "Drive > GuitarML" model is the trick, it allows to pick config file from apple files .. cool , thanks !
is there any other module other than GuitarML which also allows load custom config ?? or Guitar ML is the only one
It's also possible to load custom IR files in the AMP IR module for some variation.
The LoFI IR module can be quite fun but doesn't allow custom IR files.

Using this same approach there's reason to believe he might end up making synth emulations right down to the circuit boards.
You could conceivably build a 'virtual breadboard' designer for building and testing even.
Or how would you like to be able to take a photo of a circuit diagram and then use "A.I." to build a virtual duplicate?

Yeah I’m regretting it a teeny bit cos it’s like my whole life now, especially with nebula and the third party libraries. And then they seem to release something new and awesome like once a month and then constantly tempting me with their sales. God damn they sound good though, the preamps and EQs are very hard to beat. And they’re getting better and better with compression after hearing what El Ray can do
@Fingolfinzz yuppppp. right there with ya haha. I have 30 or so nebula libraries (most with custom skins from Azzimov) as well as Ash - Best clipper in existence hands down, Gold, Green, Ivory, Jade, Jam, Sand, and Sienna.
Check knobcloud for second hand licenses, Acustica is one of those dev's that people either love or hate and theres always someone abandoning ship, Licenses pop up for 30-40 bucks periodically.
As far as this goes, i just tried the free Portico and Chandler, and while they do sound good, i am missing controls. A one off snapshot just doesnt cut it for me, I do appreciate the tech though, and hope Chowdsp / Analogxai can improve upon this and allow for more tweaking. I was pleasantly surprised to find more modules added to BYOD though, i uninstalled it a while ago, and its nice to see a lot more inside.
Wow just did the download all on the guitarML website and there’s some great sounding presets here. Yeah it kinda sucks it’s only snapshots but to quickly add some nice distortion to an effects chain - and for free - this is great. Same with the ones OP mentioned. Thanks for this thread @Danny_Kil and for @dendy for that mind blowing revaluation lol. Makes the mind wonder about what may be possible for this app in the future. Gonna buy an IAP soon to support Chow.
