  • FabFilter Pro R2 will release on iOS later today!

  • Whew gonna be hard to resist this one but I’m glad I waited on buying the first one. Came close a couple weeks ago and decided to hold off for a bit. Don’t have the money right now anyway but I’m hoping for a Black Friday sale.

  • Wait to see if there’s a bundle, people! Don’t eat the marshmallow yet…

  • Here’s the run through from Dan the man with the master plan.

One of my favorite times of year!

  • This seems great. I wonder how it stacks up against TB Reverb. I need to do some research to make sure I’d use it enough to justify it. Though I’m sure it’ll end up being like Timeless, Saturn, and Volcano in that they’re the only ones I use now lol

My reaction 😂 I was hoping for iOS intro pricing or upgrade discount 😭

I would think they would add a bundle pricing? Have they done that in the past? I know bundle pricing always take a few days to sort out. Right now I’m just gonna watch the overview video and scour the manual (if it’s up yet)

  • I've been meaning to pick up R2, so I'm glad I waited....but I will wait even longer. Their stuff goes on sale fairly regularly and I already have several good reverbs to hold me over (TB, EOS 2, Black Hole, etc.).

  • I wasn't interested until I saw Dans video, that impulse conversion and surround settings look great, also won't take up loads of space with IR files too :)

I have most iOS reverbs so I feel like I definitely don’t need it but I definitely do want it lol TB Reverb is very close to FF level but this new one seems amazing.

  • "Total bundle" (as for Desktop) would be nice, including Pro-R 2 :)

  • By iOS everyone means iPadOS right :(

  • I was looking for some impulse responses to load.

I like the EchoThief ones linked in Simon Haven's article

    https://www.edmprod.com/convolution-reverb/

    • EchoThief – features over 100 real spaces in North America (including the skateparks, stairwells, and the Batman cave!)
    • Lexicon 480L – features dozens of actual presets from the legendary reverb unit
    • Bricasti M7 – features 136 presets from the M7, a classic reverb used by none other the John Mayer
    • Waves IR Convolution Reverb Library – a massive 4.8Gb of IRs! Possibly the last IR library you’ll ever need.

Yeah unfortunately the fabfilters are all iPad only. They’re basically straight ports from the computer versions so the UI would absolutely not work on a phone.

Actually, The UI is literally the only consistent complaint I ever see about these apps too. I don’t have (too much) of a prob with it, but it does get quite finicky when my hands are moist or in one or two areas of my screen which are a little bit unresponsive

I use it with the magic keyboard ipad case, somehow works best for me (the trackpad, or a mouse with ipad).

Thank you!! Just what I was looking for. These will be extremely useful

Oh yeah, I definitely want it too. Just trying to convince myself that I don't need it right away. So far I think I can hold out for a bundle/sale.

Thanks! I’ve always had a handful of IRs as well as a couple apps that come with a ton (THAFKNAR/Altispace) but I’ve been really getting into custom ones lately so this is nice to have.

That’s what I’m waiting for as well. Hopefully they’ll have a nice Black Friday sale. I’m pretty content enough with what I have now to hold out until they do.

  • Interesting... Fabfilter doing some new bundle deal I guess. I was able to get Twin 3 for free on iPadOS since I already had all of their other plugins from some time back. Well, the bundle just said "Get"... and I got it free. :)

  • A note in the old 2022 Pro Bundle says that a new 2023 Pro Bundle including Pro-R 2 is awaiting approval.

That's good they put that info in 🔥

Pro-R 2 looks like its on its way:

Perhaps time to change the headline on this thread?
    Now it’s really anonymous…

  • Desktop users question - from past experience, if I wait for sale, discount is applicable for upgrade also (from v1) ?

  • Yes it is. But their discount is usually not more than 25-30%.

  • @jacou said:

We need official confirmation for this because the upgrade to Pro-R is written in red and excludes the loyalty discount (40%). Maybe, in the same way, they will exclude holiday sales.

  • Most times I stray away from using all my Fabfilter apps, but after watching the Beatles using Q3 yesterday my interest has been reLit.

  • It’s a shame it’s not in the Creative bundle as I have the rest of those 😎

Haha I was thinking the same. Those and Twin3 are the only 4 FF apps I have. Will probably end up grabbing this eventually though.
