  • If you already have one of their bundles I don’t think you can get the new bundle if it has an app in both. Think I ran into that with eventide. We have it pretty good though yeah?

Most times I stray away from using all my Fabfilter apps, but after watching the Beatles using Q3 yesterday my interest has been reLit.

I caught that too with Beatles vid and said to myself, yes, I’m just as good as them! Ha

Can anyone share a link to the particular vid? Or is it the main video for the actual track?

  • Oh nice! FabFilter must have been well chuffed to see that in there!

  • What did they use for the actual stem separation?

I've only seen it labeled as "AI", it's supposedly similar to what they used for the "Get Back" documentary, and it doesn't seem to be a publicly available product

That’s correct. Thank goodness for Peter Jackson and his Beatle’s obsession.

Hopefully that will come to market soon because it is likely better than commercially available options

Well, they did eventually bring their “MASSIVE” crowd simulation software to market after they used it in Lord of the Rings, but I think they have a major competitive advantage if they use their software on a bunch of high profile projects before they turn it into a commercial product.

They certainly do! They just run the risk that if they wait too long someone will beat them to it. I would imagine Peter Jackson must be very well off by now though, money is perhaps not his main motivator

Still haven’t watched the full documentary yet but what I did see was amazing. Gonna try and finish it some time soon. Love Peter Jackson (and the Beatles of course).

It’s called MAL in the video, and the end credits - I imagine for machine learning. :) Means you can extract ringo shouting ‘ive got blisters on me fingers’ from hey Jude IIRC

  • Or referring to Mal Evans ;)

  • testing on vocals by rooshie, Jaguar guitar and Salome

  • So they just added pro r-2 to the pro bundle. I have everything in that bundle except pro r-2 and the price is $119? The price of pro r 2 by itself is still $39? Glitch?

welcome to app store preferred pricing. you previously bought a few discounted models in the range?

  • edited November 2023

I’m going to have to pony up $199 AUD for one app to complete the pro bundle. (out of the 7 apps - I have 6) and $119 AUD to complete the FX bundle. Kind of sad really. I’m in no hurry. Plenty of reverbs out there and in my collection of things.

New bundle out and bundle insanity strikes again…

(Yes, I know I must have got all the other plugins on intro or in another bundle blah blah blah)

    https://apps.apple.com/ca/app-bundle/fabfilter-pro-bundle-2023/id1714776460

  • What?! That’s so insane lol

  • Was this asked in this thread already? Which iOS hosts / DAWs support / don't support immersive/surround sound?

  • edited November 2023

    Ha, same boat here...

That's what i just waited around for? A bundle where I can pay $120 for just R2 despite already owning every other FF plugin  All for a plugin I don't even want that bad, but I thought would be fun to play around with on a friendly discount!

It looks like only iTunes supports Spatial Audio or Atmos to Apple AirPods Pro. I’m not sure there is a DAW that supports multi-channel (like 5.1) output channels. I hope I’m wrong. Even on the desktop is seems like you need some Dolby add-on products to do Atmos.

Yeah, so maybe not really able to use those spatial audio features yet. I saw the screenshots showed cubasis 3 so was wondering if maybe that was capable. I guess it does have plenty of other nice new features anyway, in the meantime.

  • The new version of Studio One has some pretty interesting spatial abilities I've heard, but I can't think of anything for iOS yet.

  • I was hoping to get a discount on the bundle. So, I bought the app itself and it’s impressive in sound and looks as you’d expect from FabFilter. Now that I commuted they will fix the bundle discount… when they do you can say thank you.

I always end up paying too dollar for Fab Filter and I’m still just glad I have the tools to play with.

  • So the only FF apps I have is with the Creative Bundle. So Twin 3, Volcano, Saturn, and Timeless. I love them and they’ve all become my go to apps for their respective abilities.

The new bundle is at $120 for everything else right now which is a 50% discount for me. I might have to grab it this month. But I’m curious, for someone that has all the Toneboosters apps (and someone who’s a massive TB fanboy) as well as most other reverbs on iOS, does this offer anything I don’t already have? Are the EQs and compressors actually better than Toneboosters? I’ve heard mixed responses to that question.

I’ll wait for the holiday sales, old Pro-R will be more than enough replacement until then. ;)
