Agreed. Sorry for your loss @pbelgium. Beethoven was the man.
Especially liked the breakout at 2:00.
@RonnieOmelettes Excellent name, excellent track 👌SoundCloud slipped into playing Medulla… after Am in Love, also enjoyed that !
@Tarekith and @setAI These are both very different to what I normally listen to but I enjoyed the journey. Glad you posted 👍
@NoiseHorse Great track. I’m sure your daughter enjoyed it as well 🙏
@u0421793 Sorry, I couldn’t get it to play. I don’t have Apple Music 🤨
@michael_m I enjoyed this one when it first emerged, I just enjoyed it again. Great collaboration 👌
Thank you, I enjoyed working on it.
I’m working my way through the thread and keep going back and listening to tracks again. This was such a great idea.
Very cool. I’ve been tempted to try something like that with the C64 Rambo music, but haven’t had the courage yet! Your song is good motivation and inspiration!
Wow, I need to put some more time into Geoshred! I find it a bit intimidating but get a little better each time I work at it. Beautiful song.
Love it! Nice work playing with those vocals!
I was holding off posting until I’d caught up with everyone’s work, but am now so far behind it’ll be June before I post at this rate! Some wonderful music here, people! I’ll be catching up with everything as I’m able.
The track I’m most proud of this year is Gabriel’s Dream:
This isn’t my most accessible piece of the year, but it’s the one that actually came together from an initial idea, rather than just stumbling across it, and came together much more successfully than I’d thought it would. Details of the patch are in the YT description, so I’ll keep it short here: my DecadeBridge Cadence drone synth being fed into a MiRack patch using Marbles, Rings and Clouds, and using the Cadence audio to clock, trigger and ping those modules.
Couple that with the video coming out well (though it’s flickery, so be careful if that’s a problem for you), and it’s the most satisfying thing I’ve done.
@LinearLineman An epic journey through a cold and crystalline world !
@Fingolfinzz For some reason when it started I thought it was going to be a variation of jingle bells. How wrong could I be. Some nice ‘fractured’ guitar playing 🎸
@frosttrance_7 Very nice track, loved the way it gradually built up and new instruments were introduced 👌
@pbelgium A great piece of work, produced at a difficult time 🙏
@peanut_gallery Very enjoyable, nicely up-beat !
I enjoyed this thoroughly. It’s the soundtrack I imagine will play when my life flashes before my eyes before I check out. Feels like you can recall everything important that ever happened to you. Thank you for sharing!
This is a great idea and I'm enjoying everything posted here. But one thing I wonder, and maybe you ( @GeoTony ) have mentioned it elsewhere but I wonder what kind of musician you were before the ipad? I'm guessing guitar. Did you play in bands, etc.?
Only guitar song I made in 2023. Others are noise. So I suppose it's the most approachable.
Very bad bedroom acoustic guitar play @Stochastically. I stood up in a pub once and played electric with a band I vaguely knew.
I was drunk at the time and still cringe at the thought of it.
Arthritis knackered my chances of being a guitar god but the upside is that I discovered iPads, GeoShred and this forum 🙏
ah ha! you just seem like such a natural musician I figured you must have been playing for years.
@timforsyth Excellent, loved when the bass came in at about a minute and then the melody shortly after. Then the Close to the Edge chords at about 2:40. Top rate work 🙏
@spiteface A nice gentle track with some real tunes, bravo 👌
@AMBello Very relaxing, especially liked the water and bird sounds which probably weren’t water or birds ?
@Frenq I enjoyed this when you first posted it in April and have just enjoyed it again 👌
@Lady_App_titude Liked, commented and subscribed when it first came out. I’d do it again if I could. Great vocals 👍
@bygjohn I like how in your YT you say ‘deliberately kept simple’ 😊 I can imagine it as the soundtrack to being chased by the Morlocks in The Time Machine 🧌
@StudioES Nice respite after being chased by Morlocks 😊 Lovely playing 🎸
Mine's probably this one (as a song at least, in terms of sound it could be others, of which a few are also on Soundcloud) ..
Still needs some work and a tighter arrangement. The ukulele maybe a bit too dominant and there are no guitars yet.
I can't recall exactly how I built and recorded it, but this playback was probably created in Band in a Box (incl the uke) so it's pretty much fake. But the groove suited the song quite well after being not so happy with previous attempts.
It’s the first track I uploaded 3 days ago and it’s my fav as of now.

Thank you for your kind comment. Well this is not the voice of a real person. This is the voice of Synthesizer v Solaria.
On one hand I am very happy that it is good enough to make difficult the distinction between real or virtual person. The voice is now an instrument like any other synth.
@cabo , lovely track, thoroughly enjoyed it. Perhaps a nice kazoo solo in the middle 😊
@jamkee , thanks for entering into the spirit of things, I’m afraid my dancing years are well gone 🕺
@myapologies , I liked the slightly unpredictable nature of this one and the bass that comes in about 0:35 👍
@MrSmileZ , it certainly didn’t leave me feeling numb… thanks for posting 👌
@cuscolima , I just listened to the original voice in the Song of the Month thread and this one is so much better. Very impressive. Have a good one 🎄
I changed my mind
I re-sang this one yesterday with all new chord porgessions, bass notes are moved about a bit, melody moved about a bit, and lyric top line completely new notes
it's probably the same song as it used to be, but I’ll rerelease it as a single next year – here’s a test pressing on the fediverse

Thank you for listening! It’s always highly appreciated! Time is precious and you offered me some of that valuable time!
Electricguitar, bassguitar, Faceman, Blackhole, Mitosynth, TremX, recorded in ToneStack 8-track. Thanks for listening.
Very different @u0421793 , glad you managed to post something 👍
Enjoyed it a lot @JeffChasteen , lovely gradual build up and a killer bass line 🙏
Very nice playing on this one.
