I'm interested in the answers to these questions as well. The sale is here, gotta decide.

Same! At the least it will suffer from the same unavoidable issues that Logic does in regards to the use of auv3 plugins that are not M1/Mac enabled. Same goes for the reverse direction as well (Mac to IOS). It would be interesting to know how gracefully it deals with that issue though.

Anyone currently working between the two platforms with BAM?

With a good deal coming on Bam (probably), I'm wondering if anybody is using it on Desktop and iOS. I'm looking for a nice way to transfer stuff from my iPad to my desktop (or possibly vice versa), that is not just the audio files, but a bit of structure, too. Endlesss wasn't too bad for that, but well...

I did a bit of reading, but couldn't figure out those points:

1 can you transfer project files with audio included easily and open them on both platforms?

2 Can you freeze tracks, so you have auv3 output as audio?

    3 Can you record audio?

    4 does Bam support MPE?

1- You can transfer projects between platforms but if you're using audio files from your local system they won't load. You'll have to add them manually after. (This feature is in BAM to-do list for future implementation)

2 - Tracks can't be freeze but you can export them. (We'll have to discuss that feature here. Since we don't have a timeline, the freeze implementation won't be so straightforward)

3 - Yes you can. BAM has a built-in recorder which will let you record external audio or the internal master output. And you can export individual tracks out the whole project (with scene follow actions you can setup a song structure and export it)

4 - Doesn't support MPE (Is in BAM list for future discussion)

  • @xglax thanks for the thorough reply. Cool, will buy on both platforms:)
