Dear App Santa! I have three wishes for the new year 2024.

edited December 2023 in General App Discussion

This holiday, I’m %$# years old. I have been nice to the ABF members and developers.

My wishes are:

  1. dRambo 3.
  2. Minimap for AUM.

  3. Xequence AUv3.

P.S. Oh, and I wish peace, love, and prosperity to the world! ;)

What's the third one? Loopy MIDI is on my first five list, together with multi-windows for LP4iOS and Cubasis.

  • I have 3 wishes as well:

An App that can tell me what time signature my riff is in
An App that can tell me what key I am in
Audio recording for Nano Studio 2

  • Duplicate, tempo tracks, mix busses for Cubasis.

    Lumbeat drummers as AUs.

    Cherry Audio on iOS.

    Automation in AUM.

  • 1) Ruismaker Noir
    2) Hammerhead
    3) Salome

Screw it… I want the rest of the @brambos apps I don’t have yet , all tied for first, although Noir is more first I guess lol

Releasing an album on Bandcamp soon and hoping it fills up my stocking with some Bram stuff!

  • The only 'new app-wish' for 2024 I have is an AUv3 iOS/iPadOS port of Plogues amazing Chipsynth C64!
    https://plogue.com/products/chipsynth-c64.html

  • Since we are on a begging mood… An elapsed timer on loopy pro? Please?

  • Probably just AUv3 updates for some older apps.

  • An IOS port of this…PhaseBox..

  • I wish for only one thing...automation in AUM...

    Korg Gadget - AUv3

  • U-He Repro 5 auv3
    Arturia synths auv3
    Cherry Audio auv3

  • I kind of want teenage engineering to add an app or something for the field

  • Dear Santa,

Please convince Sean Costello at Valhalla DSP to release his plug-ins on iPadOS.

Loopy pro MIDI looping! I need it! Multi in and out AuV3 support would be incredible as well.

  • I think I misunderstood the Loopy Pro MIDI feature. If this will be more than just MIDI doughnuts and it would be possible to sequence channels in AUM, then I don’t need my third wish. 🫣

    +1 for automation in AUM

    Also:
Ports of those Giorgio Sancristoforo plugins, the Madrona Labs stuff and a port of Plasmonic.

Maybe most of all, these 3 things:

For desktop devs who regularly port to iOS to actually keep in mind BEFORE DESIGNING IT the fact that the plugin will be used on iOS.

Devs to stop thinking in terms of hardware and desktop plugin design, and to instead play to the strengths of the touch screen.

Better touch control of knobs and sliders across the board for frequency, pitch controls etc that really rely on precision to sound musical.

    Honorable mention:

All apps with sustain function having incremental sustain control like Pianoteq has.

Individuals to stop referring to themselves as 'we' to give the false impression they have some kind of team.

I know it's not exactly what you're asking, but I'd be glad if you could already give your feedback on the Latch button that is in the current public beta of Xequence "proper" so I have more motivation to port it to the AU 😇

Infiltrator has Native Apple Silicon support and is already a very touch friendly UI on windows. Feels just inches away from an iOS release...

:) Perhaps your wish can already be fullfilled: Have a look at StepPolyArp

I’m not sure that all features of Phrasebox are supported - but here i recreated the second pattern of the video:

    • I had to add +2 and -2 lines to create the 🔼 🔽 offset notes that weren‘t in the input stream - that trick should work for all offset notes, as the output notes are constrained to the given scale.
    • StepPolyArp also offers global velocity and CC modulation line
    • One can setup and switch between several patterns
    • The modes of the upper lines of Phrasebox (play all notes, play highest/lowest note, play first/last note, play quietest/loudrst note) are not supported by StepPolyArp

Don’t know about your nut, but I made 2023 my year of drambo, and it turned out pretty well. Basically just start somewhere. The big D will show you point the way

  • Individuals to stop referring to themselves as 'we' to give the false impression they have some kind of team.

This. Developers who insinuate their business requires contributions from more than one person, need to publish payroll records with verifiable personal information to obtain a "license to we", otherwise one star shall be subtracted from their app ratings.

If they get caught trying to sneak in contractors and part-time contributors to pose as team members, two stars shall be subtracted from said ratings. In that event, to reinstate the license the developer must provide means to accommodate surprise inspections and random drop-ins in their meeting calls from that point on, plus a one year moratorium on counting QA personnel as team members.

And if a developer is caught using cardboard cutouts of people as team members,
