Xequence Keys getting a Latch button @SevenSystems 😝

I know it's not exactly what you're asking, but I'd be glad if you could already give your feedback on the Latch button that is in the current public beta of Xequence "proper" so I have more motivation to port it to the AU 😇

    Dear SevenSystemsSanta,
I DID notice, that you did NOT notice - or react on - the third wish from the OP:

    Xequence AUv3.

    😅😢🥶

    AUvWHAT?

    An IOS port of this…PhaseBox..

:) Perhaps your wish can already be fullfilled: Have a look at StepPolyArp

I’m not sure that all features of Phrasebox are supported - but here i recreated the second pattern of the video:

    • I had to add +2 and -2 lines to create the 🔼 🔽 offset notes that weren‘t in the input stream - that trick should work for all offset notes, as the output notes are constrained to the given scale.
    • StepPolyArp also offers global velocity and CC modulation line
    • One can setup and switch between several patterns
    • The modes of the upper lines of Phrasebox (play all notes, play highest/lowest note, play first/last note, play quietest/loudrst note) are not supported by StepPolyArp

Thanks.. I was just messing wit SPA.. A picture is worth 1000 words.. and it unlocked a lot of answers.. Thank you..
Could have never fully understand the ‘note order’ thing.. that did it… Thank you..

  • Dear Father Christmas. I’ve been a good boy this year, I really have. Can I please have:

    Shoom as auv3
    Borderlands granular as auv3
    Reaktor on iOS

And some miRack modules in my stocking?

I won’t ask for Drambo 3 as @Luxthor already did, or for Giorgio SanCristoforo’s or Madrona labs synths as @Gavinski already has… but… they’d be cool too

The only 'new app-wish' for 2024 I have is an AUv3 iOS/iPadOS port of Plogues amazing Chipsynth C64!
    https://plogue.com/products/chipsynth-c64.html

This! Thank you! I wanted to mention it in my list but couldn’t remember the dev and the exact name of the plugin.

  • Spacecraft 2
    Samplr AUv3
    Custom coloring in Drambo

  • AUv3 Prophet-5, Jupiter-8, SH-101, Odyssey, Polysix, & Mono/Poly. Whether they’re from Arturia, Korg, Roland, TAL, Cherry, or whoever.

Though, when I’m honest with myself, I feel certain I could get the sounds of any of those close enough that I couldn’t tell the difference with the existing synths on my iPad. But that doesn’t keep me from wanting them.

If Line 6 brought Helix Native to the iPad, I might buy a Helix. I’ve long wanted to have the same guitar system in both hardware and software, but I didn’t learn about Helix native until I’d decided to move all my music work to the iPad.

Individuals to stop referring to themselves as 'we' to give the false impression they have some kind of team.

This. Developers who insinuate their business requires contributions from more than one person, need to publish payroll records with verifiable personal information to obtain a "license to we", otherwise one star shall be subtracted from their app ratings.

If they get caught trying to sneak in contractors and part-time contributors to pose as team members, two stars shall be subtracted from said ratings. In that event, to reinstate the license the developer must provide means to accommodate surprise inspections and random drop-ins in their meeting calls from that point on, plus a one year moratorium on counting QA personnel as team members.

And if a developer is caught using cardboard cutouts of people as team members,

Hahaha, I get your point, but I hope you get mine too, Zoltan. My comment was not aimed at any particular dev btw, or even specifically at devs, it's a general tendency in the culture. An understandable one to a certain extent, but nevertheless one that I personally find a bit irritating. Others' mileage, including yours, may vary!

Now you make me feel bad because I said a few days ago to LinearLineman, “we are happy to have you here.” But I agree with you 100%.

I checked all of my posts, it was always the case when the target group was specified before pronoun ”we", but sometimes, like in the case of Lineman, it can slip away. Luckily, it’s always used in a positive manner.

Your screenshot reminded me of “Atom 3”. It’s not on my list of wishes just because I already gave up. 😔 I still think there is no better unfinished piano roll in existence than Atom 2.

  • My wish is still for an AVB AVDECC controller app for iOS…

    1. Loopy pro MPE midi loops
    2. Loopy pro timeline editing and direct recording
    3. Loopy pro automation

Please loopy, end my eternal hunt for an environment I can write and finish songs in AND dynamically perform them. You're so close, I believe in you.

If you do I'll never mention MPE again I promise. Unless Sonic Charge ports Synplant 2, or my father in law asks what that thing with the pads and lights is and does it make me any money - again - for the thousandth time.

I'll leave cookies and milk by the tree but my dog will eat them if you don't arrive soon.

I think 1 and 3 are good bets in 2024 though I don’t know about MPE in v1 of LP MIDI implementation. Still, @Michael continues to blow me away with what he accomplishes with LP so who knows? Even just basic MIDI donuts and automation will solve so many workflow annoyances and make iPad music making a joy!

Xequence is not AU for starters, so it is not usable in my workflow at all. Drambo with subpar piano roll took the place of Atom 2, as a sequencer and automation for AUM. The funny thing is that I’m still using Atom Classic for the stretching. 🫣

Why did I put Xequence AUv3 for my third wish instead of Loopy Pro MIDI? Probably to annoy @SevenSystems, 😂 and it would be perfect for the AUM sequencer.
