@Luxthor - you’re better than copy pasting this trash AI summary. You’re MUCH better than that.

Well, you are right. I thought here was the perfect opportunity to use Claude's ability to summarize. That's that, I was wrong. 🤦‍♂️😅

EDIT; also lack of your usage of emojis my guy. Which you, as a human, masterfully utilizes within this forum!

Claude doesn’t use emoji. Let's move on. 🤭

Honestly, good call on that. I didn’t know it could summarize threads. Thanks for the tip.

The main idea was to conclude what we actually got from all the wishes, not to discuss how to summarize simple facts from the given text file in 2024. 🤦‍♂️

Apologies, my ADHD got the better of me.
I’ll give my 2 cents to the summary

Here is a summary of the most popular wishes expressed in the forum thread:

    1. Automation in AUM - This was mentioned multiple times as a highly desired feature.

Couldn’t find anything on this, does anyone know if it’s happening? Is there a new version of AUM coming? Or would this be an update, presumably a paid one?

    1. AUv3 versions of various popular desktop plugins and synths, such as:
      • U-He Repro 5, Zebra 3
      • Arturia synths
      • Cherry Audio
      • Valhalla DSP plugins
      • Madrona Labs plugins
      • Plasmonic

Other than Valhalla, I’m not too worried about of these. Though I do find myself in Ableton a lot and easily can access their plugins.

Happy for anyone else who wants these though if any of them come out!

    1. Improvements and new features for Loopy Pro:
      • MIDI looping
      • Timeline editing and direct recording
      • Automation
      • MPE MIDI loops
      • Global audio recording offset and proper MIDI mapping in Loopy Pro

MIDI Looping is really dope in Loopy Pro. Thankful to have been testing it.

I’ve only know Loopy Pro with a timeline of its own? Was that added this year?

I’ve only gotten into Automation recently so I will stay off this bit, and I’ve only tried it in Drambo so far. Only been at this a couple years!

I use MIDI Tape Recorder but I can see why someone would want MPE looping as a default feature.

Does the MIDI Mapping in Loopy Pro leave something to be desired? Again, pretty green overall so for me it seems legit.

    1. AUv3 versions of popular drum plugins and instruments:
      • Addictive Drums
      • Superior Drummer
      • EZDrummer
      • Steven Slate Drums
      • Lumbeat drummers as AUs

I don’t have any of these but I did get Hammerhead this year and lemme tell ya,
    I love it.

We did get OneShot, though not mentioned. Seemed like everyone was all about it when it came out.

    1. Ports of desktop DAWs and plugins to iOS/iPadOS, such as:
      • Logic Pro
      • Reason
      • Alchemy in Logic Pro
      • Tone2 Icarus 2, Electra 3, and Saurus

Did Logic Pro really only come out this year??

I don’t know about any of the others, except Reason by name but I’ve never used it.

    1. Other miscellaneous wishes:
      • Minimap for AUM
      • Apps to detect time signature and key
      • Audio recording for Nano Studio 2
      • Duplicate, tempo tracks, and mix busses for Cubasis
      • Xequence Keys getting a Latch button
      • Timeline, clock stability, and negative clock delay in Drambo and Drambo 3

A minimap like the one in miRack would be dope in AUM. No such thing exists yet though..

Is there any apps that detect time sig and key?

    No Nano Studio Audio update.

    Don’t know cubasis.

XEQUENCE HAS A HOLD BUTTON 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I could see why a timeline is needed in Drambo, but as of now it’s the same layout essentially.

I’ve only used a timeline when editing Podcasts in my previous line of work in GarageBand or Ferrite, so the whole clips / piano roll took a while for me to grasp and now that I do I don’t necessarily miss it, but wouldn’t be mad at it if it was included.

Is the clock in Drambo bad? I can’t say I’ve noticed.

I don’t know what a negative clock delay means,

Also doesn’t seem like Drambo 3 is coming, unfortunately.

The most frequently mentioned and popular wishes seem to be around automation in AUM, AUv3 versions of desktop plugins and instruments, and improvements to Loopy Pro.

Edit: Summary made by Claude. Be gentle!

Good on you to add this in.

  • All I ever wanted was borderlands to be auv3

There have been hints from the dev that it’s in the works. I’m sure it’s been mentioned on here before, but I think it’s one of those “it’ll be out when it’s ready” situations. It’d be fantastic!

  • My two wishes were complete nonsense. I was trying to make dRambo do something it is not designed for and insisting on Xequence AUv3, which is complete utopia. Only my third wish is probable, and that is AUM mini map.

On desktop. On iPad it's $4.99/month or $49.00/year.

  • I would like to see AUv3 versions of:

    TF7
    Scythe
    Mitosynth
    Synth Q
    Selene Redux Pro

    And:

    Updated Embertone apps!

I communicated with Embertone several years ago asking them to bring their sax to desktop as a standalone. They said they'd "look into it." LOL.

So what are you trying to say by saying "Logic Pro can be bought without a subscription"? Just trying to get more people to get the desktop software?

Today is the first time in ages I’ve been able to get on their website to message them, so I’m praying to the app gods and I’m going to be good for Santa lol

    Aha. Got it.

  • O forgot to add. I would love DrumJam to become AuV3 :)

  • O and Shoom AuV3! I would buy this in a heartbeat as I’ve always had a soft spot for this app.

That on the platform where the only option is a subscription I would like to buy it without a subscription.
