Yeah, some solid Sequential Circuits synth emulations would really hit the spot.

I’m surprised that there aren’t any besides Iprophet . Dave Smith was one of my heroes 🥺

I’m not sure that all features of Phrasebox are supported - but here i recreated the second pattern of the video:

    • I had to add +2 and -2 lines to create the 🔼 🔽 offset notes that weren‘t in the input stream - that trick should work for all offset notes, as the output notes are constrained to the given scale.
    • StepPolyArp also offers global velocity and CC modulation line
    • One can setup and switch between several patterns
    • The modes of the upper lines of Phrasebox (play all notes, play highest/lowest note, play first/last note, play quietest/loudrst note) are not supported by StepPolyArp

Thanks.. I was just messing wit SPA.. A picture is worth 1000 words.. and it unlocked a lot of answers.. Thank you..
Could have never fully understand the ‘note order’ thing.. that did it… Thank you..

    1. For StepPolyArp to add “Random” and “Highest” to the step options panel, though Highest can be sort of accomplished already by using “7” - if that number is greater than the number of notes held down then the highest one is played, but if holding down more than 7 notes you’ll still get the 7th so it’s a workaround at best.

    2. To have Sugar Bytes Obscurium, Graindad and Nest, and Infiltrator ported to iOS.

    3. To have 100 more wishes

It is so good! I would just spend hours on the couch running things through it as sample fodder for on desktop. Would be awesome!

  • I’d like to see Organteq come to iOS. Have they mentioned porting it at all?

Also seeing Modartt fully dive into guitar modeling would be great.

I don't think they have plans to port that because I asked them about it a while ago and although the answer was vague, it was definitely closer to 'not planning to port' rather than 'planning to'. That is already an extemely niche instrument, I'd be surprised if they port it

Fair enough. Less people would be into a church organ for sure. Organs are my favorite instrument and even I’d have more limited use for one, though they can be great for drones. I think Beathawk and maybe the Crudebytes app are the only AUV3 cathedral organs on iOS right?

Your screenshot reminded me of “Atom 3”. It’s not on my list of wishes just because I already gave up. 😔 I still think there is no better unfinished piano roll in existence than Atom 2.

    Not even Xequence?

Xequence is not AU for starters, so it is not usable in my workflow at all. Drambo with subpar piano roll took the place of Atom 2, as a sequencer and automation for AUM. The funny thing is that I’m still using Atom Classic for the stretching. 🫣

Why did I put Xequence AUv3 for my third wish instead of Loopy Pro MIDI? Probably to annoy @SevenSystems, 😂 and it would be perfect for the AUM sequencer.

You don’t see clearly, it was the Grinch all the way. If you hit that button, he will separate your project into multiple files and make your life miserable. 😂

I really with they would consider working on tone wheel organs, as I’m sure those would have a far broader appeal.

That sucks. I actually have a Yamaha MX 61 which has some great church organ sounds, so I have never really looked for apps for that kind of sound. It really doesn’t have any decent tone wheel sounds, which is what I’d really like, but it does have some good electronic organ sounds too.

Yeah haha, funny timing, given the organteq discussion! I'm sure it'll all get fixed. Hopefully a good lesson for the devs that they really need to have more ppl beta testing. I have no idea whether they do any beta testing at all among members of the community.

Yeah my friend has an MX49 and it sounds fantastic! I don’t have the space for anything that big but I know he gets lots of use out of his.

Yeah it’s crazy it even made it to release with that many bugs. Hopefully everyone is emailing GSI about it and it’ll all get fixed soon. It sounds great, though. So there’s that I guess 😂

    Fingers crossed for 2034….

I’d just like to get Nave as AUv3. Won’t happen.
This is technically probably impossible: something like AUv3 AudioBus so that the MIDI & audio of any synth IAA app would be played by a DAWs generic keyboard. Maybe a company could convert IAA apps to AUv3 via some spiffy A.I.?

Individuals to stop referring to themselves as 'we' to give the false impression they have some kind of team.

This. Developers who insinuate their business requires contributions from more than one person, need to publish payroll records with verifiable personal information to obtain a "license to we", otherwise one star shall be subtracted from their app ratings.

If they get caught trying to sneak in contractors and part-time contributors to pose as team members, two stars shall be subtracted from said ratings. In that event, to reinstate the license the developer must provide means to accommodate surprise inspections and random drop-ins in their meeting calls from that point on, plus a one year moratorium on counting QA personnel as team members.

And if a developer is caught using cardboard cutouts of people as team members,

@Luxthor - you’re better than copy pasting this trash AI summary. You’re MUCH better than that.

The “Drambo and Drambo 3” line at the end is so funny to me. Like putting aside it’s using “Drambo 3” because it was mentioned in reference to wanting a 3.0 update, why would those updates apply to Drambo (1) and 3 but not 2? lol.

Also 2. Not listing Xequence knowing damn well our boy @SevenSystems probably doesn’t go a weeks without someone poking at an AUV3 update for his app.

There’s plenty more but I’m not gonna poke around at it anymore.

I’ll say it once more, you’re MUCH better than this summary. 🙏🏽🤘🏽
