    Some of the Audio Damage stuff looks interesting but the reviews scare me... lots of reports of the apps crashing in AUM. Can the apps be trusted?

    Yes. You can trust Audio Damage.

    Which anpps are you interested in? I have almost their whole catalog. Personally I do not remember any audio damage apps crashing on me. Especially in AUM. Maybe, but can’t remember it. It’s obviously possible, any app could crash if you’re pushing your device limitations. It depends on several factors, the device, version of iOS, what app they’re talking about, Or if they even know what they’re talking about. Sometimes people leave bad App Store reviews that are not warranted.

    Also sometimes apps have issues but the problem is fixed in an update.

    If I were you… I’d ask about the apps you were interested in, and if anyone has had any issues. Feel free to ask this in here or inside a thread related to each of the apps you are considering.

    Ps. YouTube videos of any app are worth their weight in gold. They help you get an idea of the gui, sound, features, etc…

    Personally, I've been using many of their apps for many years with very few stability issues. The odd crash here and there maybe, but crashes are very, very rare for me.

    I'm going to give Velvet Machine and Cascade a try. These apps that provide intuitive UIs for experimentation are what make iOS music worthwhile for me.
