Anyone use these? Specifically bass mint & the vinyl one?

I must have slept on these and this developer. I’ll check out some videos.

These sales are doing my head in. Bought so many things it’s unreal. Budget blown 🤣
I’m trying to save up £70 to get a fabfilte bundle!

Yeah it’s always tough on the wallet this time of year. I missed the Unfiltered Audio Apps too. Just bought Silo and it’s great, so tempted to get the rest even though my saving are virtually gone now.

I think everyone is as excited about Battalion because these are so good, they really work in any style of music you want to make.

  • Gonna get one of the AudioThings FX apps I don’t have when I get paid this coming week…between outer space and springs, which would you all get first?

I use Lo-fi-af and Silo all the time … they are both excellent.

Springs, as there is hardly any to no fx that emulates spring reverbs so well.

I have bass mint on desktop and I really love it. @satchnut mentioned LOFI AF …I do think it’s pretty good but for lofi sounds I like Doctor Vibe a lot more. Maybe I need to revisit LOFI AF.

I’ve just picked up cubasis 3 in the sale so I’ll play with that instead 😁

Sorry, you’ve lost me there. I hate Cubasis with a passion :)

    Really? Is it that bad?

It’s all personal preference. I think it’s great.

Wow that’s a big statement! I’ve gotta check it out. As a guitar player I’m always looking for a good spring reverb. I really like one of Altiverb 2’s springs.

  • Wish unfiltered audio had a bundle deal on this sale 😎

  • Those Unfiltered Audio apps are really good. Wish I had bought them before now!

  • Music App IAPs on Sale!

Yea it appears they removed the bundle during the sale. I believe it was similar in price to buying them all at the current discount. But yea would’ve been cool to snag them all even cheaper.

  • Miscellaneous Free IAPs

Needlepoint is fun. You could sleep on it as a fun toy, until you discover that the compressor, which is not the most prominently advertised feature, is actually rather characterful.

I want needlepoint but really just for the compressor! Seems like the best feature of it imo,
Plus i have a apps that do age/noise already… Have you messed with the compression at all??

Lofiaf I’m still on the fence but think it could do some nice work to a pad or keys.

Oh, I just remembered that since the last update the AUv3 plugin is now bundled with the app. If you can't find it as a plugin in the host, you'll probably have to re-download it from the store to fix the issue.

Been using mostly Bass Mint, Silo and Tails. Used some random Dagger sounds and have just been using random sounds on these fx. Not even got anywhere near to grips with what they are capable of, but I’ve been getting some really interesting sounds. I have bought LoFi and Needlepoint, but I’ve yet to really play with them much, probably because I too have a lot of similar apps on the surface. I haven’t messed with the compression yet.

VirSyn / Harry Gohs apps on sale...

AppRaven records show NEW LOW for Teraverse, Tera Pro†, Cube Synth Pro, Addstation, VoxSyn Pro, BandDelay, Matrix Vocoder, Bark Filter, Harmony Eight, BandShift, Reslice, AudioEffX, Addictive Pro, Poseidon Synth, Tap Delay, iVoxel.
† That goes for Tera Pro's IAPs as well, except for Library Waveshaper.

The only ones NOT at historical low are Xinematix and Harmony Voice (incidentally the only one I needed, haha).

The rest of the catalog sits at current historical low.

(Apologies for any mistakes -- I just eyeballed it)

Looked at Harmony Voice for the AUv3 autotune element but was put off by the reviews and ratings (only has rating of 1.4 in UK store). Would be interested if it actually does work or not if you get it 👍

UPDATE 2: Won’t even open on my M2 Mac. I maybe do regret.

UPDATE: Bought VoxSyn Pro ($2). Installed on iPhone SE 2020, iOS 18.1. Loaded AU into Audiobus 3 FX slot. Audio works for a while, breaks the instance if messing with too many knobs. UI wonky as hell, responsive but many broken parametrics. Standalone doesn't work (need audio interface?). Comes with entitlement for M1 Mac, so maybe I don't regret.
Not sure if I’m brave enough to buy Harmony Eight 😅… It is a couple years older and iOS-only.

Yeah unfortunately VirSyn doesn't maintain most of their apps, and recent reviews are sparse at best. Would also love to know if someone here has had any recent success, especially with the voice/vocoder ones. I just assume the iPad mini 2 I keep around will be all I can trust to run old apps on.

Cheers for the update. 👍 Given that Voxsyn has a much higher rating of 4.3 in my store and has issues think I will skip. Will probably go with Vocal Tune Pro after a more thorough look around, although if Vocal Tune Studio goes on sale, may as well go whole hog.

Thought I'd grab Harmoniq while on sale as was interested when it came out. After a bit of playing around, it seems utterly random to me. It makes a different decision about what to cut every time you analyse the exact same passage :/ Sometimes it even decides to completely cut a main on-key note. Will have more of a play with it but not exactly impressed by it. ScalerEQ does a much better job by just randomly killing groups of inharmonic frequencies.

They were extensively tested by this community (ABF) for the iOS ports so they’re very well optimized for iOS

Hadn’t heard of Doctor Vibe before. Looks to try for more the authentic side as opposed to lo-fi-af's more FSU. Nice.

Probably the best idea. VoxSyn is totally useless (Harmony Eight is pretty fun, though, and serves the cheapest M<->F formant shifter I could find). Was mostly curious about VirSyn since they're generally considered DSP titans, but we have way more modern tech now. Cheers!
