Me waiting for a Davy Wentzler Black Friday Sale.

And as soon as I checked after posting this, VTS at 50% - immediately bought and discounts on rest of DW apps. 😂 My Black Friday is complete 🥳

Does Vocal Tune Studio work with monophonic sound sources other than vocals as well? I use Melodyne on desktop, which has separate algorithms for both, but the marketing copy for VTS seems to particularly emphasize that it lets you adjust "time and pitch for vocals, and time for other sounds", so I wonder how well it works for re-pitching non-vocal material.

Have been busy since buying but have just been testing now. I have it in AEMS as well as standalone. When you go to open it in AEMS on say a bass track, it offers "Time and Pitch correction (vocals and monophonic sources) or Time correction (all audio sources)". If an audio file is stereo it just bases the pitch off the left channel, but in the case of something where both channels are similar it certainly does pitch correction (for example on a bass). I haven't had enough of a play to get it sounding natural whilst doing it yet, but looks good so far.

Hoping so too, although we’ll have to wait til Cyber Monday for any digital sales of course.

  • I don't think it was mentioned before, but Neo-Soul Keys Studio 2 is on sale. I'm not sure of the US dollar price (I'm in Poland), but it should be around $14 (it was $24.99 before). This app is incredible, electric piano heaven.

    https://apps.apple.com/pl/app/neo-soul-keys-studio-2/id1482448438?l=pl

Other MIDIculous apps are also on sale

It was but they’ve been on sale for a few weeks now so it’s buried pages back, and it can’t hurt to remind people. I am planning on putting together a comprehensive list of everything if I have time tomorrow. Cheers

My heads been spinning lol. Not light but not the most I’ve ever seen. Besides Black Friday/ cyber Monday the holidays at the end of December through New Year’s Day are probably the second best time of year for sales.

I don’t know it gets much in the way of updates. I uninstalled it a long time ago as it got really unstable.

  • I just wanted to mention that I had the crazy idea to run GlitchStep through Chaos Arp and into any synth (started out with Discovery but have to say I'm a little disappointed in the onscreen usability of that) and am having the most fun with that insane combo!

LumaFusion is the Drambo of video.

🤣🤣 Well, there's a first - someone talking Drambo down.
Drambo is extremely versatile and LF is not.

I give you that it is one of the best options on iOS (FCxP and DaVinci competes) but the lack of masking and effects and the quite limited layering are frustrating.
I asked for masking more than 4 years ago and they said it was coming (excellent reply).

Jakob Haq does miracles with it though so maybe it's me... 🤣

I can highly recommend this - the Mac version is also free at the moment. There's a huge range of stations available, you can add your own from a stream URL, your favourites are synced between versions and it runs in the menubar on a Mac.

I know nothing about video editing yet but $9.99 for Luma is very tempted for me. Does anyone know if Luma can work directly with a file on an external drive or if you have to upload it to the iPad's internal storage?
I only have a 64GB iPad, so this is essential for me.

Yes , it is possible to edit directly on an external drive. I edit all the time using a SSD. Never tried with a hard disk though.

    Anytune Pro
    [-50%] ($14.99 -> $7.49)
    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/anytune-pro/id478293637
For me, it has a better UX than Music Speed Changer which I've been using for years. Also the quality of the slow motion track seems better to me. The only downside is that it can't work directly with files in the local folder, they have to be imported.

Thanks. The search was bringing up all manner of “maker” nonsense.
