  • I only have iphone, if I buy ipad pro do I have to buy apps again for ipad ? Or I only get iphone version on Ipad ?

No. Very few apps have separate iPhone version. You know if it is when the name says „… for iPhone“. 99.999% of apps it is the same and you don’t have to buy again. 👍

You'll most likely discover apps that are iPad only- so be prepared for that. Luckily Cem Olcay's stuff emulates a lot of those iPad only apps like StepBud vs MidiStep

Same. I almost bought clat to splat a dozen times this week.

  • Anyone else clean up on BLEASS today? Seems pretty quiet otherwise.

  • edited November 2024

Nah, BLEASS shit sounds so thin and flat to me. I don't think I have ever seen/ encountered even a BLEASS preset that sounded like it was meant for music. lol

Fair enough, sometimes it takes a bit beyond presets. But some of them have some good unique functions.

I know nothing about video editing yet but $9.99 for Luma is very tempted for me. Does anyone know if Luma can work directly with a file on an external drive or if you have to upload it to the iPad's internal storage?
I only have a 64GB iPad, so this is essential for me.

Double check but I’m pretty sure this is a usb c iPads only feature. I could be wrong! I have a few apps that provide desktop functionality over usb typically require usbc

On an effect side of things, Slow Machine and Filter are both great. Slow machine is really useful for adding additional rhythm or interest to hi-hat patterns. The variable envelope following in Bleass Filter can really help tame sounds as well as creating some neat filter effects.

  • Yeah, I do tend to weigh shit on the quality of presets. I feel like it's the area to showcase its versatility and it inspires me more. Like I can't think of a single instance where I was like oh yeah- I really need some BLEASS. LOL. Maybe one day it will happen.

Not saying BLEASS is shit. Just saying their shit sounds like shit (2 me)

@cem_olcay I did a triple take when I saw that Harmonicc had presets. Put that shit in all your apps boss. ♥️ U.

Also, while I do agree the general sound of some of their synths could be described as thin, I do a lot of layering and their sounds can fit well into a mix with less work as I’m not then deliberately thinking down sounds in layers.

It’s like the OB synth app I’ve just bought - sounds wonderful with the right fx, but boy does do the sounds take up a lot of your available sonic space before EQing!

As for the fx though, some of them are quite interesting.

  • Seriously man, good call on the OBX (my feels exactly).

For total transparency the only instrument I have of BLEASS is moonlit, everything else is just fx

It’s a nice issue to have - owning so many apps that we can favour some and be all meh to others lol! I keep about 600 music apps on my iPad now and some might think that’s excessive, but to be honest I used a good half of them in the last year alone! It’s good to have choice lol

I dig the bleass delay and arp, they are very simple to get creative with, but I’m not a fan of their synths tbh. I’ve heard people do great things with em but i have yet to

  • I feel the same way about having a variety of stuff available. I was just about to post how much I appreciated whoever mentioned Dubstation. I am in absolute love with this plugin atm.

This reminds me.. @amazingnoises @apesoft or whomever- please put Amazingboises stuff on sale. I want them all.

I asked for masking more than 4 years ago and they said it was coming (excellent reply).

What do you mean by masking? LF has had green screen masking, blue screen masking, light/dark filter and a few others for at least a couple of years. That was the killer feature for me and let me do pretty much everything I need to make videos for my YT channel. I occasionally bump up against limitations like track count but other than that I have no complaints

Splat to Clat is AUv3, or am I misunderstanding your point?
