Finally grabbed Kaspar, this thing is for guitar?! Jesus. lol at these waveforms clum, stache. Haha- Yonac is fun.

There's this amp simulator for sale rn that sounds so late 80's rock- so good.

Buzzone and thumpone are highly recommended (byme)

Kaspar is also excellent. You’ll never run out of ideas for new sounds with that one.

These apps are still not in available in Canada for some reason. I let the developer know months ago. Does Hainbach live in Canada?? 😉

  • Trooper for 3.49 is a steal! It’s one of my faves for bass.

I wonder how different it is from Kauldron which is one if my bass gotos.

I'm looking for a good acid app for that 303 sound. Does Pure Acid or Troublemaker ever go on sale? Or maybe Poison 202?

Pure Acid is brilliant. It just went on sale but the last two years it’s half off on Christmas - 1st. Randomly just said earlier today it’s a GOAT app for me probably top 5. Multiout AUV3 some dope presets and honestly getting going from init is really easy. The bass synth / seq is incredible. Slides!!!

Bram only does the Black Friday deal and picks a few of his apps. From what I can tell. All of his apps are priced really well and worth the price. I’ve never regretted paying full for this - ymmv - I don’t have troublemaker so I can’t say how great it is but looks dope!

Can’t say on Poison 202 but I bet it’s good.

  • Poison - 202 compliments Pure Acid imo, incredible combo, poison has like 500 super in your face aggressive acid presets. Really loud, really iconic sounding shit. Highly recommend

I was going to get Kauldron, those waveforms remind me of korg- what kind of sounds is it good for?

Troublemaker's envelope and filter don't sound much like a 303 (flatter, maybe a x0xb0x?); it does come with a bonus AUv3 "modded" for extra coolity.

Poison-202 is more of an extended Access Virus clone and isn't meant for acid in particular, as I understand.

If you happen to have DRC, then you already have a very convincing acid synth, imo.

Thought about it a bit more... Kauldron and Trooper each have their own character. I'd recommend both.

Both David Alexander Apps have 1st Sale Ever - both iPad only

    Both excellent.

Only tried Thump One on beta but loved it. I’m buying it momentarily. Really wish it was universal though. Thought about getting Buzz Zone but it’s double the size and I’m tight on space.

But yea these are really great apps. I like the envelopes for each main setting, really cool set up.

  • Graphics

Go Animate is free usually $3.99

  • This may be a somewhat unpopular opinion on Black Friday, but I decided to buy Loopy Pro even though it doesn’t go on sale… it’s an amazing app from an amazing developer who needs our support.

Better to have one full price app you use, than a dozen at half price you don't.

How is the CPU for Thump One and Buzz Zone? I demoed the latter on my laptop in Ableton Live and it nearly burst into flames. It was maxing out at 100% within 2 or 3 notes - if the iOS version is anything similar it might bring my 7 year old iPad to its knees!

Kauldron is still the fattest of the Yonacs. Trooper sounds a bit more like a "Magellan 3" to my earballs. Could just be the factory presets, though.

    ATTENTION PLEASE - StaffPad IAP

I think I just found a rabbit hole. There is no information about this in AppRaven, StaffPad website, etc.. I provide prices after checking in the app on my iPad. Did I miss something or this is the biggest StaffPad IAP sale ever? Or it is a glitch in my AppStore... All $100 IAPs are discounted to $20 and some to $10. Most of the big IAP was previously discounted to $70 only (some to $50-$35). Whoever wanted to buy IAP is now having his dream come true... I know it's still very expensive, but on the other hand it's never been so cheap. Enjoy

Can someone confirm it on your side?

    $20 - Berlin Strings
$20 - Berlin Strings First Chairs
    $20 - Berlin Woodwinds
    $20 - Berlin Percussion
    $20 - Berlin Brass
    $10 - Berlin Pianist
    $10 - Berlin Harps

    $20 - CineStrings
    $20 - CineStrings Solo
    $20 - CineBrass
    $20 - CineWinds
    $20 - CinePerc
    $20 - Epic Virtual Choir
    $10 - CinePiano
    $10 - Acoustic Cello Legato
$10 - Solo Violin by Taylor Davies
    $10 - CineHarps

    $20 - Spitfire Symphonic Brass
    $20 - Spitfire Chamber Strings
    $20 - Spitfire Symphonic Strings
    $20 - Spitfire Symphonic Woodwinds
    $20 - Spitfire Symphonic Percussion

Compare above sample libraries on Youtube in StaffPad
    0. StaffPad Standard Sounds (free) - from 3:42
    1. Berlin Series - from 4:47
    2. Cinesamples - from 5:46
    3. SpirtFire Audio - from 6:54
Which one complete library is best to buy from that three in your opinion / or is it better to buy different parts from each library?

Wow! I bought staffpad today and am blown away. The Berlin Brass sounds awesome. This a composers dream app.. I hope these stay on sale a while so I can pick up some more packs on the cheap!

I just bought StaffPad today and have just won the 'worst buy' award having spent $70 NZD on this app alone. I didn't realise that it is almost totally dependent on having an Apple Pencil, which I don't have.
While Notion Mobile has pencil support too, its fully usable from Touch alone, and I was hoping for the same with StaffPad.

The default sounds are terrible compared to Notion as well, and although I got the Muse sounds too, and understand the IAP ones are way better sounding, it's all unusable without a pencil :-(

I once had access to this. Any idea how to get involved again? Do you have any insight on what’s new?
