Take a quick scroll through the thread. There are many listings of music oriented apps.

To my eyes they all look like like crappy chip-tuny type apps that run on old, low powered games machines. I could be wrong though.

I think this app is probably not for me. Great for fans of classic games though.

  • Always surprises me how big the LSDJ community is. Not just online too, there are people out there doing live shows mainly with Game Boys.

Here’s one of my favorite things to come out of LSDJ. An entire video game (released on multiple platforms) soundtrack made entirely using two Game Boys. I think there might be an OP-1 in there to for some processing. It definitely ain’t for everyone though, sometimes I wonder how people have the patience for these old-school trackers.

Not for me either. But I had to try it out of curiosity.

That’s awesome, I’ve been playing with it and like it a lot so far. I’m still getting used to it but I can see it’s potential

Now that emulators are perfectly legal on the App Store, there’s only one obvious thing to do.

so where did you download this game from? I downloaded Delta, but I don’t know where to get the games from

  • when i try to load Roms. it keeps saying Delta requires certain DS files to play the game. what are these and where do i find those?

You need the bios files for the system you’re emulating and the roms. Search for Romsets on archive dot org and you’ll find loads

The official answer is: "You must own the actual gaming system and use suitable program and method to extract the needed BIOS files. Obtaining BIOS files by any other method is illegal."

    But what FordTimeLord said. 😉

Fun, Korg has another app that’s basically a limited M1 workstation for DS. I thought that was only for 3Ds but there is a ds version out there too :)

I don’t know this forum’s rules on linking those kinds of webpages, but the r/Roms community on Reddit maintains a pretty comprehensive library of Roms (and Bios). Everything you need to know is on a pinned megathread, so it’s one of the first things you’ll see when you visit their forum.

Sorry I missed this, when were they made legal? I remember the scumm one
I’m in the uk. So the new eu thing altstire doesn’t apply. But this would be something different?

I’m not sure exactly what happened but different emulation apps kept popping up for like a week, but most were then pulled a day or two later. However Delta and a few others finally made the cut I guess and stayed up on the App Store.

It's working fine for me. Not usable for me due to the tiny size, but does work.
