Whoot!
The modules will all work whether you've bought them or not, but eventually it'll time out and prompt you to purchase. Are you sure you've used it long enough to check this? Also, have you tried "restore purchases"?
Excellent, good to know
Can someone remind me, do IAP's only work from desktop > iOS but not the other direction? I bought 2 additional FRMS IAP's on my iPad the other day and they're not showing as owned on the Imaginando site or in my desktop copy even if I Restore Purchases. Thanks!
Redundant question - ignore plz
I’ve been running this app at least 2 hours today ands used the keys a lot, I’m not sure how long the demo gives ya. Ima just buy the iap again tho since it is quite useful. I’ve had the chorder and that thing really helps create some good sequences.
It would have prompted you far sooner than that. I'm guessing you own it but the checkmark just isn't showing for some reason. My own curiosity would compel me to my Apple purchase history, but for $0.99 it's kinda silly to take the time. Probably at the end the App Store will probably give you that dorky "doh! You already own this. Uh, do you want to down load it for free?" message. 😂
That’s great to know! Love your apps and FRMS as a synth is really powerful.
My #1 wish is for FRMS (as an FX) is to be able to output grains at the same pitch as the incoming audio i.e. the way most other granular FX work.
I’ve never found a way to do this, and have never understand how the MIDI input pitch, audio input pitch, and grain pitch settings work together to produce the pitch of output grains.
If this could be modified, it would greatly increase FRMS usefulness as a live granular effect. I’d love this to be on the change list
Haha yup for a buck I just decided to donate it since the app is really awesome. I haven’t used it for a year but now that I’m back to it I fell like I can actually sequence an entire track in AUM with it. The app has improved a lot since last use
To @AudioGus and others who have just bought or discovered FRMS
FRMS has its own playlist on Imaginando’s channel FULL (58 of them) of sound design tutorials
Oh wow, thanks!

We thank you for your feedback and support!
This video revolutionized my understanding of Visual Synth! I have it on iPad but never really realized the potential for splitting the specific outputs of a music project to generate/control different layers...that makes it so much more useful! I haven't tried to figure out how to accomplish the same thing in anything on iOS yet but since I use Ableton, I'm picking up the desktop version now and both fantastic refill packs, too. I guess I'll go ahead and repurchase those FRMS add-ons for desktop too since they're still on such a good discount. Thanks!
I had heard of VS before but it wasn't really on my radar, I picked it up last night and HOLY SHIT this thing is fun, and appeals to me way more than I thought it would now that I have my hands on it. The concept of tweaking visuals with synthesizer parameters is genius, and extremely intuitive for anyone who has used envelopes, LFO's, and mod matrixes before.
Running on a 9th gen iPad, able to get close to 60fps on most presets in performance mode @ 1080p, but high res mode @ 1080p sat closer to 30fps, and on some more demanding presets it dipped as low as 10fps. Regardless there are enough settings available that you should be able to dial in something that works even for more complex multilayered visuals (although I can't speak for older devices.)
Highly recommend grabbing it on sale as well as the IAPs, which add not only presets but banks of layer material, the visual equivalent of waveforms or samples.
Vs iaps, is 1.99 the sale price? What is the usual price?
$8.99 is regular, from AppRaven:

Fair enough

On the beta
But will try and purchase later
@sinosoidal Am I correct that the iOS version supports AUv3 plugins but the desktop does not yet support VSTs? Is that planned and is there an ETA for that? Does it support AUv3 or any kind of plugins on desktop?
FWIW I already own it on iOS--haven't spent nearly enough time with it yet--but trying to figure out what this offers me on desktop as an established Ableton user. Thanks!
Thank you for your comprehension and support!
That's definitely on our roadmap it might take a while but we will get there. I would say at least 6 months because we have other things in our pipeline. AUv3 hosting is already supported on MacOS.
It really depends on each individual workflow. Where do you think you work faster and more intuitively, specially laying down a beats? On Ableton or in BAM?
Then there is the possibility of starting an idea in BAM on iOS and bring it for desktop and finish it on Ableton.
I have LK, and i assume the BAM sequencing is similar?
Is BAM essentially a host for auv3 , unless used as an auv3 then it primarily serves the same purpose as LK?
I am just trying to decide if it something i need since i use LK to sequence in AUM, what benefits could BAM have for someone like me?
Edit: i see it has drum machines and instruments in it as well, can those be used in auv3 instances? I mostly use logic and P3 for drums but they look cool in BAM
Thank you in advance for any replies!
