It took some tries, but got it downloaded now. I have no idea what is going on, but it is fun and very beautiful!
(Bluetooth headphones makes it crash in stand alone though.)
Is the current IOS
price an intro/release price, or the final real price?
( in other words: should I hurry?)
I think you should hurry
I can’t buy it now. Maybe price goes up tomorrow. Im clicking the buy button and its saying this item is no longer available.
Well, it wasnt buying of the normal button, i clicked the devs name (John Howes) which brought up a list of three apps (two a duplicate - the latest release).
I clicked on second instance of Stacks and it allowed purchase.
Prior to this I tried several different countries on my VPN and my purchase was via Olso.
Just like when Strokes was released, I just got drawn in forgetting time and, all unimportant shite. Sometimes, life is good...
Figure I will be dropping 50 bucks any second now. Still haven't got strokes, just realized it has multi outs since I last looked at it.
Is that the reason? I noticed it was crashing immediately on launch, but only have Bluetooth headphones with me. Runs okay in a host?
Edit: yes, it does.

I did - great fun. Already in another Galaxy
Thank you, this tip worked👍
Does anyone know if we can import audio files into each track, or does it just record the internal synth?
Ta!
You can load your own samples - just tap on the "Load a sample" in the track and you get the file picker.
Oh lots of fun indeed! One minor problem: The app store lists the app as iOS 12 compatible. I tried to load it into my old iPad Air 2 and it crashes. This is not a big deal because everything is running fine on the iPad 9 with iOS 17.x
Ah thank you - I couldn’t see that option in the photos and vids. Looks like I’ll have to get this then!
And people think Igor’s UIs are inscrutable.
So much easier to get things going compared to Strokes. Sound pretty powerful and that Drone Mode is cool ..
I'm happy so far.
Yah Strokes makes me feel like I just had one.
😂😂😂
It would be pretty impossible to make something more complicated than Strokes…😊
BeatCutter called, wanted in on the speculations...😁
Apesoft too....
The Bluetooth headphone problem is on John's todo list but that was a couple of months ago. I'll give a nudge on the Discord channel...
Thanks! Good to know! It works within AUM fine, but will be great to have fixed. And doesn’t take away from the fact that this is an incredible app! Deep, fun and very original!
Just got an update - should be fixed next week...👍
👌
It’s awesome, but am getting problem with Bluetooth which is already being sorted, and also it won’t show up in AUM for some reason.
Have you tried rebooting your iPad to fix the AUM problem? That’s usually the culprit
Yeah, I’ve actually been able to halfway wrap my head around Strokes, and have made a few bits of music with it.
Now with BeatCutter on the other hand, I can’t say the same, though it might not be just the complexity of the app, but the experimental mysteriousness of what is actually going on.
Just bought Stacks to help show support for our little platform. @congburn has obviously put a ton of work into this, and I wish him much success!
Looking forward to playing with this, maybe combining it and Strokes inside a Drambo session.
