  • Curious, are those who watched the videos and were impressed enough to buy Q2, did you already have Q1?

Q1 is one of my favorites. It’s going to be hard to beat. I also love FRMS and Comtinua.

Are those who already have Q1 and have now bought Q2 impressed with the changes from Q1?

While I like the sounds and the software, I have had more crashes with this software than almost any other. And I have tried it on two different iPads. Both as a stand alone and in AUM. And I re-installed it as well.

For me it is unusable as it is. I am looking forward to a fix so that I can get back to it.

I am confident that AudioDamage will make it work.

I have V1 and FRMS, and love using both. I was not looking to buy V2, but the two recent vids really caught my attention. However some of the features I thought were new in the ‘Red’ vid actually already exist (e.g. sync in envelopes), there doesn’t seem to be that many new presets, and there seems to be a lot of users reporting crashes.

I will probably still get this as the new UI looks good, and the new features it has will definitely be useful, but I’m going to hang on a while and see what’s going on with these crashes.

  • Gotta be honest- I much prefer the new system over the old modmatrix.

  • Is there a discount for people who have Quanta 1?

No but it is on 50% intro price so I think they regard that as throwing a large bone to existing users. And it is only 10 bucks now as opposed to the desktop version which is more than 10x the price. Think the price to upgrade from v1 on desktop was 60 or 70 bucks also, so getting it for 10 bucks now seems fair.

Hmmmm….getting a LOT of crashes with this one, and some of the UI is less usable than v1 (e.g. voice number selector at the top, input level sliders). Rebooted just in case, create new patch (standalone, nothing else running), load sample, crash.

Update: no crashes in AUM so far, just standalone. Weird.

You are right, the price is low it's just a question if it's worth buying if it's only a small upgrade over the original.
Not cool thought that Quanta 1 was removed from AppStore, now it can not be redownloaded by people who bought it

That’s a common misconception: it’s no longer available for purchase but it is available to be downloaded for those that bought it already

Oh yeah - it is definitely worth asking whether it’s worth it or not. Probably the best guide is, did you really use v1 much? If so, it’s maybe worth upgrading, if not, then this will probably lie unused as well so why bother!

Unless of course the reason it lay unused was some aspect of its design or feature set which has been improved or added in v2!

After some preset surfing I deleted all the factory presets. Now after relaunching the app I can’t save presets anymore… It shows the ‘Download factory content’ again. Anyone else?

After redownloading the factory stuff and deleting only a part of it this time, same happens. File menu disappears again

I’ve deleted a few subfolders, but I still have saving options. (Quanta 2 v2.1.2.)

Thank you, I’ll give it another try. Maybe it changed in the new update, I tried it on the previous 2.1.1

    Edit: Yes, it works now!

That’s a common misconception: it’s no longer available for purchase but it is available to be downloaded for those that bought it already

Well, it wasn't as this with Mela 2 when I migrated to a new ipad. The app refused to download and was not in the AppStore anymore.

Yeah, I'm just calling out that it doesn't have to be that way (and it's not the case with Quanta 1), it's up to the developer

Exactly, it depends on developer's decision. If you want to delete Quanta 1 and check if it's available for download to prove the validity of you first statement, do it and let us know

Getting your point and I do agree. But, are there any new presets in the new version?

  • Excuse me if asked and already answered...where are the 3500 included presets located? My app shows like maybe 150. Thank You, ED

Hi ED! I think you're mixing this up with Discovery Synth, it has 3500 if I remember right

Hi Gavinski, Oops! Yes, of course you are correct. Sorry, I just bought both and I confused the two. Off topic then, how does one access all of those presets in Discovery? Cheers, ED

Tap on the centre screen (on the synth) to choose bank, then on the centre far left, you have another screen, tap on the one that say's program or toggle next/previous with the arrows/
