For those who are interested in live streaming on YouTube,

When you have under 1k subscribers, like I have, the live stream
will automatically be set to Private once the live stream is finished so
when you need to share the link after the stream make sure
that you check the settings in YouTube Studio
and set the recorded stream/s to Public.

Another thing to bear in mind is that it takes up to 24 hours for
the live stream to be processed until then the Live Chat text is not available.
The Live Chat is available whilst live just not after the fact until the video has finished being processed.
Not having the chats there can make the chat seem a little bit discombobulated.

Great info and appreciate you sharing this for anyone who might have interest in this.

Yeah, the questions were very cool.
Yes, OneShot is calling me however I've got to keep focused.
When I get OneShot I'll do a live stream about setting it up in dRambo.
Yuuup, we'll get to the templates. lolololol
As mentioned in tonight's stream I'll do a more drum focused stream at some point soon,
starting from scratch and then what I add for processing to get the sound needed.

and for sharing the process @Gravitas - really enjoying the streams.

    No problem.
    I'm enjoying the journey.
I'm starting to get into the swing of them and they are a lot of fun.
It's really cool seeing the names come up from my FB as well.
You and Moses are getting on like a house on fire.
    Very cool. :)

Ooo okay that’ll be cool see tonight. Drums I have a pretty good grasp on in Drambo but I know you’ll show me some stuff I’ve never known / thought of.

I think I'm going to keep it at 10 p.m. U.K time next week.
Though 12 a.m was late for many the first week was good so let's keep on going.

the tracks are coming together nicely because of it.

OBS Studio is an amazing Windows/Mac that allows you to stream to Twitch, Instagram, and Youtube at the same time.

I highly recommend Twitch for livestream. Higher amount of audiences, and higher potential revenue

But that's all I have to pitch. Goodluck on the streams.

I've been using OBS for my earlier test streams this year
to both the dRambo Facebook group and YouTube.
That's how I was able to get the anamorphic look
when live streaming by using the Pixel 5 as a webcam
instead of streaming directly from the Pixel 5
which I'm doing right now hence the normal 16:9 ratio.

Here's an example of the anamorphic look.

The wiset thing to do before diving in the deep end is to test the waters first.
Though I've spoken on the radio before
communicating via live stream is a different skill to learn
however thank you for the suggestions.
    Good advice for all.

But that's all I have to pitch. Goodluck on the streams.

Thank you for the well wishes.

Twitch rewards time more than anything. That’s why you only get pushed by that algo if you’re doing multiple hour streams multiple days at a time. Plenty of large YouTubers or social media accounts have proven this. It’s extraordinarily difficult.

So unless you plan on doing a few 3-6 hour streams in a row I’d recommend against it. No offense @seonnthaproducer

Get some videos uploaded to the main channel (5-10 minutes ((10 preferable))) and keep the streams going, but don’t burn out going everyday of the week though, 1 hr a day might not seem like much but it’ll add up. We all need rest, time to reflect, so on.

Plan for rest is all I’ll say.

Nothing is set in stone right now in regards
to what time the live stream happens
so we could all agree on what's best for all at this point.

    Keep it going!

    I will do.

Agreed, hence why I'm certainly going to chill tomorrow.
Though the chat is off the cuff the rest of it is vey intense.
There's a lot going on and answering questions
whilst composing and creating dRambo things is quite something I must say.
I was thinking to do three days on/one day off/two days on/one day off
which would give me time to do the other things I do and allows for rest
because even the audience needs to rest as well.

Rest is very important for the long haul.

Yeah bro lol it’s an absolute shit ton!
You’re balancing it well though, honestly.

Use those community notes on YouTube to poll your audience.
Ask what days work best for lives, What time, etc.
if you end up having a stream that’s better for your London peeps and one that’s different for the Americans, split the that up.

You mentioned Facebook so try and funnel some people to the YouTube poll and get them to subscribe and turn on notifications while they’re there.

Get em all on YouTube and plan accordingly. You got this.

I always promote visibility on other platforms.

It's less about feeding the algorithm, and more about reaching new audiences.
Not everyone has equal access to the internet. There's region blocks, or platforms that can't exist all over the world.

Also, almost no one watches twitch 24 hours non-stop. They have school, work, family life, and other responsibilities.

Focus on making the content that you want to make, and make it easier to access by others. That's all I can say. I've had more successes on a lot of other platforms than YouTube. But I still post similar content on YouTube.

Never said anything about 24 hour non-stop lol. Not sure why you’ve brought that into the conversation.

I’m saying that if the end goal is to get an audience, spending hours (3-6 like I said) is the only way that it will promote your stream to others.

That’s just a fact. Plenty of people who’ve spent many long days / weeks / months getting no views because of it.

    And context.

Stuart Bruce has already seen my rig and I've told him I'll bring it along the next time I see him.
    He's looking forward to it.

Now, would any of you be interested in seeing what he thinks of my iPad based rig?

I also forgot to mention that he taught me a lot when we worked together at Real World Studios.
    That's another thing though.
