They're both multi-FX, so there's going to be some overlap. My read is that FAC Punchlab is geared more towards dynamics/transients and Beef is distortion/saturation. These type of processors often have a difference of character/colour, as well.

The Fireside Piano midi's are beautiful arrangments, perfect for loading into Helium. The body sounds pack ( neck pops, knee slaps, teeth sucking) are fun lil one shots that I used to load in koala/Sitala.
I believe their actual full sample packs are 50% right now also.

Sorry for the obvious question but is it worth it if you don’t have the extra benefit of also being an Ableton desktop user? Has it got any unique features - looking at the App Store description, I can’t really see any but I might be missing something?

It's certainly one of the interesting options when you want to have a simple app to compose on your iPhone on the go, more or less like Koala, Gadget, Groovebox etc.
You can only export audio though, so without Ableton you'll need to use the built-in sounds as they are.
Thanks, @rs2000. I was thinking surely Koala can do everything it does really. I’m certainly at the stage of not wanting to duplicate functionality unless it’s for something truly spectacular. Cheers.
