Yep, I have that enabled. Tried sending to each app separately and on the local network. Ableton Link is enabled on all the hosts and inside punkgen. Made sure everything was up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Rebooted the iPad. Nothing worked for me.
Hopefully it’s just me being dumb. Otherwise maybe I should send a bug report email.
🤣
Remember the funny thing about Virtual MIDI ports. Each app publishes its own pair of virtual ports, for IN and OUT. So, for example, if PuNkGen sends to Thor's IN port, then Thor needs to listen to its own IN port, not to Punkgen's OUT port. The app's own ports are usually shown as "Virtual MIDI" or the like in its menu, even though other apps see them with the app name.
Just to be sure: did you also click the button saying “Enable output”?
That got me stumped for a bit, but now it works fine sending midi to AUM (with Midi out just set to AUM.)
I figured out how to work PunkGen. It’s a bit wacky to set up, but that’s not necessarily the apps fault (unless you want to blame it for being IAA only, which makes it a 4/5 for me vs a 5 star). I might post the setup I got working in the PunkGen thread to not keep clogging up the sales thread, but figured I’d put my corrected opinions on the app back out there.
Worth getting for $3, even if clunky.
Some iceworks effects on sale today!
I’m on the fence between Kajita (multi tap delay/reverb) and Yukawa (multi tap delay). Is the former just the latter with added reverb functions? Or does Yukawa handle delay differently enough to merit scooping up both?

Kajita is very complex, he even states in the description that: "it's not an easy-to-use effect design for musicians but rather a tool for engineers/snip/" which I hadn't seen before now. It's not THAT complicated. Both are nice. I don't know the price as I already have them (and Koshiba). I think he makes better plugins than synths (don't kill me) so if it doesn't hurt, go for both.

I bought all 3 iceWorks FX and told myself it's a buy 2 get 1 free deal. As long as you can justify it in your own mind, right? 😛
So true @telecharge lol.
And indeed, it has no connectivity. It's not bad this, it's better than i expected, but it's got a few issues, like when you change filter resonance from zero to a positive value it sounds strange. Small fonts too. I did a 15-min walkthrough on it on my Patreon btw (Google: Gavinski Patreon), I doubt I'll do a YouTube video on it. It's a fun $5 weekend impulse buy if you like drone music, but not a must-have imo.
Haha, I like the way you think! Any thoughts on the differences between kajita and Yukawa? Besides the reverb, of course
FYI
Tremora’s iap says $0, but when you click on the purchase button, it still tries to charge $199.
Shysters!
I just purchased when I posted, so I haven't messed with any of them yet. But here is a thread from 2023 - https://forum.loopypro.com/discussion/58824/kajita-v-yukawa
My take is that Yukawa is a good multi-tap delay and Kajita with delay and reverb is better suited for atmospheric sound design.
Cheers, that thread was a goldmine of opinions! I’ll get Yukawa for the “easier” UI and if it seems lacking in features I’ll consider snagging Kajita as well. Thanks again, happy delay-ing!
👍 To you, as well!
