Riffler Flow is down to £3.99 currently

Really wish this app would introduce missing functionality and wanted functionality to drive sales instead of these frequent price drops.

Absolutely agree 100%. We were promised midi in over 12 months ago!

Have anyone of you tried to push him on it? Or, is this just more screams into the void?

There’s a YouTube video demoing midi input that was released over a year ago and there are numerous comments asking when it will be available but the dev hasn’t responded to any of them.

I think the excuse was that they were working on desktop products but that doesn’t help the people that bought the ios apps based on promises made on YouTube

No that wasn’t the reason. Someone did manage to contact him a few months ago. He was working flat out on an audio production project (ie a day job) and didn’t have time at the moment to work on Riffler but said he would try.

Did the developer really promise MIDI in with a delivery date? Crazy dev if so as things can always change.

    I love the sound

But I picked it up around the same time I grabbed both Rifflers

And (coincidental to the convo. Serendipitous, even*) I conflated the lack of midi input with Steel Guitar as well 😅

So... THIS is a huge game changer (for me), with Chord Generator's strumming 🤯

My morning after work is gonna be bizzzzzay!!

    Thanks for the accidental clarification!

He produced a video about a year ago. To be far there was no date just coming soon but after a year I guess they should actually have said NOT coming anytime soon! 😂

Have you contacted the developer about this?

Quite a while ago and there are a number of comments on the video he put out but were never answered. To be fair, he’s got to make a living and if he’s tied up with other work that’s paying the bills that’s understandable. It’s just the fact that he actually made the video over a year ago, telling us the feature was coming soon but so far hasn’t delivered anything. If it’s not going to happen now then the least he could do is say so and if he still intends to deliver it then it would be nice to have an update. These things happen and I’m sure everyone would understand if he needs to concentrate on a real paying job but just don’t leave us hanging!

Totally agree that devs should be clearer once the've made a promise/offer and can't live up to it, it pretty much never happen.

Promises like: "yes, we're planning to add that in a future update" are the worst. So easy to say but so very hard to do (it seems).

One would think with a demo video out that the feature has already been developed and almost ready to ship. Around this time he also did an interface refresh. After a few months waiting then Riffler flow suddenly came out and demo software for PC (since withdrawn probably because of the interface refresh). In June the website said they were progressing with recording samples for the desktop version. (Supposed to be delivered July 1st 2024 announced in April 2024) My recollection was that midi in was supposed to come out at NAMM 2023.

Having said that it is still an awesome and groundbreaking app.

Paul’s StrummerFX sorta does this, though.
