Have you checked out the Briik Controls? Setting briiks to Blend allows overlapped bricks to be mixed rather than one muting the other. User manual accessible via Help in app.

If this trend continues, hardware is going to start looking cheap.
I suspect that may have become a "premium" feature while we were sleeping. So it may only be accessible by subscription.
Lemur started as hardware, in 2002.
Every controller app is to a degree a copy or descendant of lemur. They only stopped developing it in 2022.
So I wouldn’t assume its comparable to cheaper options.
I’m not stating anything here, but I think it has a market, and probably that other business models probably wouldn’t sustain it.
Its a very niche product and it’d need 500-1000 subs to pay basic dev wages (and not in the most expensive areas).
But since its so niche, I don’t think this fits with larger trends… or I hope not
