What do you guys think about the sound pack bundle from HB Humble Bundle Beat Builders 2
?
Riffler/Flow are great through it. I use it very often with that. I know I keep mentioning Fugue Machine, but I also use it with Steel Guitar Pro a lot. I find their synths work well with sequencers in general. Also good paired with Aurora DSP amps IMO.
Just picked up steel guitar pro. Yeah, it’s worth $2.
I was using guitar soundfonts, and this is so much better. Like so much. I'm still feeling pulled toward Rotary, I get Ray Manzerek/ Brian Wilson vibes from it.
@FizzyLizzy27 yeah, every sequencer I've run it thru sounds fantastic. Midistep's chords and strumming is really fun. Plan on trying out some of those absurd progressions from Gemeni (Ai) in it.
I bet it sounds really good in midi strummer. I just ran it thru Harmonicer with some complex chords and strumming at 100% this might be the best $2 app I've ever bought. This is the time to get it even if the slide stuff has no interest to you. I remember the only thing I ever liked about GarageBand was the guitar- this is so much better.
@cem_olcay New App - Ova Ambient Synthesizer recently had an update to also allow it to be used as a midi controller. Sweet!

@cem_olcay @Jadestar woah man- huge update. Thx @Poppadocrock
Yeah!
Depends - do you also have Aries Rotary?
I've made a few sounds to match my own taste in Galileo 2 and its weak spot was the Leslie for sure. Got somewhat closer with Chorus and extreme EQ added but that always felt like a limited hack.
Aries Rotary comes much closer to that gritty blues'y B3 sound, but I just purchased KingB as well, for the sole reason that it now runs on MacOS as well - like in Nanostudio 2 or Drambo on Mac M1 for example 😊
SOLD! in a sense 😁
Ive already owned both for a minute but never thought to pair em. Gonna be a couple of days til I can really sit down with it tho
For good or for ill, I got the same fix excitement pop that comes from a new app I have to wait to a couple of days to grab 🤣
😅
😐
😬
(⬆️ my actual timeline of expressions as I tapped the "A... B... [emoji]" at the end of that sentence
Me getting older and realizing that sometimes joking about issues too much might actually be masking more than just pointing out the "silly hahas" people can face...
"Ooo this is fun wordi..n..g... Oh. Oh no...")
@rs2000 Right on, thank you, I do not have Aries, but I have Eventide Rotary. I liked a lot of the presets I heard from King B, especially from the IAP packs on an @eylvy video
Im more wondering if KB differentiates itself enough from G2 ? Maybe a better sound, different sound, better presets, etc..
Aries Rotary in an audio fx, correct?
I was just talking about it in the apps thread and some others agreed, I’m not sure if I was the first to mention it but I’m glad I did, because it makes the app twice as cool.
Definitely a better rotary in KingB and I would want the Leslie settings stored with the organ preset for sure.

Yonac's leslie also sounds much better than Eventide Rotary imo.
At least if you're into organ sounds like here:
Yes.
it absolutely does. Jade and I felt that it would make it so much better, and it has! i popped it on poison 202, and i'm really impressed. i think you are the forst to mention it. it's like a whole different app now
It actually seems like a great deal considering it’s PWYW minimum $1, all proceeds go to charity, and it’s a lot of sound packs. Thanks for sharing. I might get this. Maybe share in the 2025 desktop samples plugin sales thread too.
I note that the AI forgot to correct the spelling of Hainbach 😝
AudioTools, dB, Sound & Audio by Andrew Smith is 50% off at only $9.99

At the reduced price, I see it as a no brainer. I have both and they're not identical.
lol, it wouldn't dare call out my errors. it's a total simp (by design)
I have kauldron and Magellan 2 but even if I turn on osc sync nothing seems to happen... Or it just sounds really odd. I just want a Roland screaming osc sync type of sound.
Anyone got that working who could explain to my dumb ass how to do it?
• Load Kauldron as an AUv3 Instrument on an audio track.
• Select the sound/preset you want from Kauldron.
3. Create a New Audio Track (Magellan 2):
• Add a second new track.
• Load Magellan 2 as an AUv3 Effect (not an instrument) on this track. This is the key step
Lastly,
you need to route the Audio Out of the Kauldron track to the Audio In of the Magellan 2 track.
• The Result: The sound generated by Kauldron is now being processed by the Filter, Envelopes, and Effects section of the Magellan 2 AUv3 effect instance. You'll typically need to bypass or ignore the Magellan 2 internal oscillators, and focus on its filter and effect modules.
Nuff with the Yonac already, it's been a hundred posts since the original announcement. I'm joking of course because:
I bought Zodiak Gemini, plate reverb and I do not like it, it has these extra frequencies that Tonestack often suffers from as well. It's hard to say exactly what the fuck it is but I know I for one don't like it. I found one preset that worked fairly well with the guitar (in the String section, not the Guitar).
Am I missing something, are plate reverbs meant to sound like it does in Gemini? Like someone forgot a can of screws or something on top of the plate, I dunno.
EDIT: I don't know if my ears were in bad mood last night or me overall. I'm trying it again now, this time in Logic (AUM before) and it's a lot better. I turned off the built in EQ and also have it on mono (playing guitar).
It does make some pretty awesome reverberations. Weird (I am not the verb).
Really enjoying Tonestack Pro with the Pot of Gold IAP on various synths and keys.... very similar vibes to the Zoom MS70 but much easier to setup patches. Lots of options to wade through to find your faves but very worth the sale price imho!
NB. Just about everything seems to run as stereo that I've tried so far...
The three(3) FREE KASPAR presets from @Spidericemidas and @Bryce Beasley can be downloaded directly from here:

when clicking on them just select the lil file import button and select the Kaspar icon and the presets will automatically install. These presets are worth the price of admission alone (imo) BB's preset "BB Virgin Detergent" "BB BargeVarmints" and "BB Halls of Whipstaff" are pretty incredible.
Thanks @egobeats! I wasn’t aware of the Bryce presets, very good indeed!
Thanks for the presets links, @egobeats. I don’t have Kaspar yet, but downloaded these for when I do.
@Dav i think today is the last day to get it for the lowest price ever @ $3.99 (normally $20)
