  • That‘s awesome , DM1 was my first step into ipad music. Just recently i thought how much i would love an AU version. Preordered of course 🥳

  • This was fun back in the day. Hopefully AU has multi-out.

  • JeezUS these new apps just won’t stop.

  • Remember - probability, randomisation and mutation is coming shortly. Should make this one a humdinger.

  • I love that it looks the same as the old one. Someone on facebook already complaned about selling a new version instead of a free update. It‘s TEN bucks and making it AU is for sure not something you do in an hour. And then there are this synths additions (though i don‘t care about it).

Doesn’t say it’s Mac compatible on the App Store ‘compatibility’ drop-down, hope it is, an instabuy for me if so.

  • Really happy to see an updated version of DM1, probably my favourite drum machine on iOS.

Drum machines are the new thing, it seems. Hey, I'm a fan of more options. ;)

  • Have there been any other videos released? I’d love to see more of what it’s capable of.

  • Still no auv3?

Indeed not! It’s auv3 and Apple silicon compatible I believe for desktop use.

  • Can‘t find any information about pattern length. What‘s Fingerlab‘s take on this?

max was 32 in the old one but pattern chaining is very straight forward. Easy to work on complex pattern but i hope itˋll be at least 64 nonetheless.

    @robosardine

where did you get that info from? are beta testing? Would be great if that‘s coming.

Sorry, are you correcting the desktop reference? Wasn’t sure what you meant.

  • Good thing I have very lax app budget limits the way February is starting.

  • Seems the beta is still open, there's a thread somewhere here with the link, so those with questions still have a chance to check themselves before buying

No, I’m confirming AUV3 support, App Store screenshots show it in AUM and AUV3 stands for Audio Unit in the iPad world too 🙏

All good my friend. I can confirm it’s working in Cubasis if that’s of help.

Also several other added features including a synth. It seems fair to me.

  • Can someone confirm this is still a drum synth like DM2?
Can’t see any if the synth parameters in the media on the app store page, and instead see a sample loading screen that indicates this is for drum samples 🤔

Is this screen from DM2 still part of the app?

DM10 is an update for DM1. DrumLab was the update for DM2, been out for a while, and has the drum synth stuff from DM2 plus more.

Thank you, that explains it then :)

(I hope an auv3 drumlab is in the works!)

Small point of clarification - on Mac the plugins are referred to as “AU”, so if you see “AUv3” it implies iPadOS/iOS specifically.

Small point of clarification. On the Mac plug-ins that are installed into the Applications folder are Audio Unit extensions and are AUv3.

Those installed in the plug-in components folder are Audio Unit Plug-ins and are AUv2.

So if you see "AUv3" it means installed in the applications folder specifically. They also tend to be universal applications that work also on iOS.

Aren’t the Mac versions always listed as “AU” though? I can’t think I have ever seen them listed under a plugin’s description as anything but that. The only time I have ever seen them listed explicitly as “AUv3” is for mobile platforms.

    Ah, gotcha.

I was trying to clarify for the person that asked the question on the response “AUV3 stands for Audio Unit in the iPad world too”, which (to me at least) implied that AUv3 is used in the Mac world and is also used for mobile. It literally is led kind of backwards to me, but I get what you’re saying.
