Same thing here.works in standalone though...
Spoke to soon. Thought it was working in standalone but it isn't anymore, if it ever was.
I believe this covers that item:

I wonder if this app can do anything that I can’t already accomplish with GR2 or Drambo.
Of course I’m asking this after I’ve already bought the dang app. I guess I’m a sucker for drum apps!
Probably not, but I’ll bet it’s a lot quicker to put something together with this than either of the others.
This'll be much more like a Hammerhead replacement. Fast, great kits. Sweet fx too with the xy automation.
Synths are basic but a sweet little cherry on top for a quick idea.
Man i feel like hammer head destroys this app!
You can do so much more to tweak the beat and sound
I bought and will keep for likely sample kits ( for Fac Drums in Drambo )
You get quite a few drum kits for £9.99.
Depends on how you use it. I use hammerhead for speed and a lightweight drum machine for live techno sets. If i want a sampled kit I'll use koala. If i want to craft a synthesized kit its drumcomputer (battalion soon), if i want to fingerdrum a more traditional kit it's oneshot.
170 kits plus a host of fx gets the job done for me nicely. 45 pattern bank is hard to beat too.
My live sets are gonna be so much more varied and interesting with DM10. Won't look back.
Battalion looks amaze but people complain its not intergrated with DAW.
I messaged them before viewing Battalion and felt like a twit.
However my question were valid.
To be able to trigger patterns via host.
Otherwise it seems more live based ( with some midi macros )
Or a weird way of composing.
Just relying on drum machine to switch patterns etc.
Might not be the case though.
Might be misunderstanding the desktop comments and even they might be misunderstanding, if not purchased for themselves.
Update - I contacted the developer about the randomization and he replied that additional features will be added in a new version coming up in the future (I never rely or even mention ETA’s). It is planned to include steps randomization, steps probability and mutation, tempo per pattern and better measure divisor handling for time signatures such as 6/8, 9/8 and 12/8. As always, please consider this as possible and don’t set expectations, but know that the dev has active plans in place.
Finally i had some time to give it a try. And the first thing i noticed: it has the same IMO design flaw like 13 years ago. A length parameter for drums instead of decay. It just sounds unnatural on most drums. Please, anyone: tell me i‘m dumb and just overlook something where i can chose between lenght or decay 😜
Glad I bought.
Can just add a few notes and Iv got high quality drums.
Needs multiout ( although it dont ) because it already sounds good and no hassle.
Seems weird without.
I couldnt make it work properly in Ableton 12 because the UI displays very large and critical functions that are available via buttons etc at the top of the UI are not shown, several sections at the top are entirely missing. It doesnt have this issue in Logic.
