  • @kv331audio_bulent I'll ask again. Was SM3 tested on the iPad Mini 7?

    No not yet.

That is incredible! And I've just spotted the 'random preset' option now has its own dedicated button too, which will make browsing through those 8000 presets even easier!

Yep. and I am planning to add "undo" for preset loads too so that you can recover your last edit if you accidentally load a preset while editing.

That is a great feature, I have accidentally changed preset in the middle of editing!

I want to finish the AUv3 version as well to release the beta. my estimate is last week of February.

Yes that happens to me as well. I implemented it last week, and works perfectly.

    Hi guys,

The standalone version is almost done, I released the Alpha 2 build last night on TestFlight. Here's the invitation link:

    https://testflight.apple.com/join/dn3rexe8

Here are some screenshots from this build:

If you encounter any issues, please send us the log files. To send the logs, click on the cogwheel icon on the top left part of the user interface, and then click on the "Zip log files and send via AirDrop" menu:

    Happy testing!

    Bulent

PS: I am working on the AUV3 user interfaces, the beta will come next week hopefuly.

Very very cool! I love the expanded keyboard and all my bought presets loaded after registration!

Edit: okay, it did download the SM2 complete bundle for iOS, but not all presets/banks seem to be available in the browser.

  • Owning Synthmaster 1/2 on iOS & Synthmaster 1/2/3 on desktop — Is there a way for Synthmaster 1/2/3 owners to load desktop presets and additionally owned banks? Trying to register via my Synthmaster 3 desktop serial only informs me that I do not have a license for the Synthmaster 3 player (?).

  • edited February 23

For me, it did download my iOS presets of SM1/2 and the SM3 desktop presets I bought (with the vouchers). I only registered in SM3 player, nothing else (need to use the same email address for all), using the serial for iOS Player received by email). However, it seems to all presets are shown (I see only 1493 in the SM3 browser).

  • My user credentials match those of my desktop license(s). It seems that I have to "Unlock Desktop Features and Content" via a $9.99 IAP first for that — Just for the Player (?). Or did I overlook anything? I do not own a desktop license for the SM3 Player version.

For apps downloaded via TestFlight there will be no charge for the IAPs.

Unless you have a license for desktop everything bundle, that IAP is now required to be able to download desktop factory/expansion banks on iOS.

  • For clarification: Will this be requested to download user content for the Synthmaster 3 release as well (not the Player version)?

To unlock this IAP (as for the current TestFlight version), I will have to register first. However, as I do not have an SM3 Player license, I can't register.

You do NOT need a dekstop license to register. Registration is only to get 300 bonus presets.

You would ONLY need that "Unlock Desktop Features and Content" IAP if you have desktop factory/expansion banks. You wrote that you don't have any so you do not need to purchase that IAP anyways.

For apps on TestFlight, I don't know how Apple handles IAPs.

  • all working for me so far. downloaded all my desktop presets without a hitch, too.

For TestFlight apps there's never any charges for IAPs...

...there is a potential loop-hole to get the IAPs for the AppStore version of the app free if the developer uses some on-line user database (log-in with e-mail etc.) to register the IAP purchases during beta and the user at a later date uses the same account for the 'AppStore' version of the app and voila, all previously purchased IAPs would be available as they were already registered without the user spending zero real money for the IAPs.

If the IAPs are strictly 'AppStore' with no outside server connections the IAPs purchased during beta will not transfer to the AppStore version of the app once it's released.

  • Thanks @kv331audio_bulent,
This new player sounds great, it sounds like Synthmaster 3 will be the main go-to app for every kind of sound, Synthmaster 2 has always been my go-to so far.
    Mike🍻

  • At first, I was like, "How will I fit this UI on my iPad Mini 7", forgetting I'm typing on a bloody 13" M3 iPad Air. 🤣 Not sure I'll join the testflight alpha release yet since my testing days are behind me currently and I'd have no real useful feedback other than "this plugin fucking rocks". 🫣

  • Great to see the progress!

I downloaded the beta “player”, and checking out some of the new sounds.

At first, I started trying to restore all of my IAPs from 1/2 (iOS versions only here ) but then I stopped myself, and thought “what the heck am I doing?”

Not to mention the complete confusion on what I have, and what I don’t. (I bought the iOS version of the “everything bundle” which has me at just over 4300 presets) and I had a feeling that if I went though the process of “restoring” all that into this new version3 player, I’d be essentially creating another copy of everything, which wouldn’t be ideal

Anyway, again, I’m happy to see the progress being made. I’m looking forward to the actual synth release and/or a beta version of said actual synth.

If you registered with us inside those apps, your licenses should be in our database. Could you pm me your registered email address so I can double check? The expected result is: If you register with an existing email in our database, you would be able to restore your SM1/SM2 iOS expansions.

  • It's soooooo big. 2.63 GB

Yeah, that’s basically why I didn’t want to try restoring everything else from sm1/2 into this, because I feel like it would be a redundant copy of everything. Even though I do have a 1TB iPad, it is filling up fast.

    Thanks. PM sent 🙂

I appreciate you taking the time to check, though I still might want to wait, for reasons stated above (storage space?)
