  • Life itself is just a bunch of loops, one shots, sustained notes, and crescendos. No?

    😉

As someone who suffers from insecurities, I shouldn't click on videos like this lol.
I just learned how to loop recently and really enjoy it.
The older I get the more I remind myself to not worry about what anyone else thinks and just do what makes me happy, and hopefully it will make someone else happy too... but if not, oh well :D

I’d go so far as to say the nature of the whole ‘universe’ is cyclical, this manifests wherever you care to look, of course including sound and music. <3

That’s the way, we are all unique and should enjoy what the means, the perpetual variations of creativity.

Many unquestionably use loops to very good effect; to suggest -if that is being proposed seriously- all looping is bad would be preposterous.

I've been reflecting on this thread and upon further consideration I think many of you with honest objections are right. I think Rabin was mostly trying to be humorous and I do think he is mostly pretty funny, intelligent, educated, and useful for musical instruction. But his humor has on a couple of instances taken a pretty dark turn that I do, with others, find indefensible. Way beyond a professional well-received "insult comedian" like Don Rickles, who has said one thing Rabin, sadly, can no longer say: "If I were to insult people and mean it, that wouldn't be funny" https://www.brainyquote.com/authors/don-rickles-quotes

If anyone has been truly discouraged as an aspiring looper or musician or personally offended by Rabin I apologize to you, and to the forum.
