Does anyone have this issue? Is this a new feature? When scrolling websites in Safari a button or banner will float up to the middle of the screen, making it difficult to read the screen. Anyone know how to turn it off? Super annoying:
However, I do like the resizing for apps that support it. Makes copying text in between apps much quicker
I just did the iPadOS 26 update this morning. Still testing out what works. GeoShred is broken (no sound), Magellan and Galileo I are broken (feedback), but Galileo II works. Amazingly, oldie-but-goodie Thor seems to still work! NeoSoul Keys -- which worked in a crippled form under iOS 18 -- is now totally broken.
GeoShred, NeoSoul Keys and Magellan 2 are working without any problems here.

iPadOS 26.0
Hi, just to mention I just checked Geoshred after reading this (I'm also on iPadOS 26) and both the AUv3 and standalone produced sound for me. I tried a few different presets and all worked OK.
Sorry, I'm going through apps that I haven't fired up in years. I meant NeoSoul Keys v.1, Magellan 1, and Galileo 1 (all of which worked previously to some degree). I didn't even know there was a version 2 of Magellan!
OK, I got it sorted. Last time I used Geoshred was when I was testing out the Mac version, which requires a setting called "Connect". Turning that off got it back to normal iPad functionality.
Sorry. I'm just quickly firing up dozens up apps and testing for a second to see if they make sound. I've only been using 26 for less than an hour at this point!
No probs!
NeoSoul Keys ... working without any problems here.
OK, so I deleted NeoSoul Keys v1 off my iPad, downloaded v2, paid the $9.99 IAP, and it works, but there are NO PRESETS!
Where are the @#$%^& Presets?
Guess it's like with all the GM apps and stuff needs to be re-downloaded in the stand-alone app...
I did re-download, and did restore purchases. Still no presets.
Anyone else having weird sample rate issues with logic since the update?
It keeps switching a large project of mine from 48khz to 44khz by itself (causing my audio tracks to play with the wrong pitch/timing).
When I try to change it back the whole app crashes to home screen. I suspect there may be an AU in there that doesn’t like the changed sample rate, but it was never an issue prior to iPadOS26.
Eventually I can get it to play nice but sometimes it takes 20 mins of rebooting and reopening. Loading another project via the files app often helps escape a crash loop.
Simply restoring the purchases does NOT automatically download all the samples and presets.
You need to go the Setting and the download tab and download the packs that are available for download.
(This was the case with Pure Synth Platinum and as all GM apps use the same system it should be about the same).
There are only three options under Settings: "Debug enable", "Background audio" and "Restore Purchases. No tabs.
At this point, based on what I've been able to determine, it appears that Neo-Soul Keys 2 is a downgraded, stripped down version of the Neo-Soul Keys 1 that I had (have?). No presets. Limited effects.
Kind of a bummer, really. Hate paying a second time to get an inferior version of what I already paid for once.
Apparently, there is then also a more deluxe product for $25 called "Neo-Soul Keys Studio 2" -- which is 20GB in size. And even that requires an additional $9.99 IAP to get the presets!

At least that seems to be the case based on what I've been able to determine so far.
Check you iCloud folder in the Files folder? I noticed that the app dies preset backups there but not for sure. I have Platinum Synth. Hopefully you find them there. That’s a reason I learned to not delete first without backing up. I even disabled App delete in settimgs because of this. I have to think first then I go to settimgs and enable app delete.
I like some aspects of the 26 update, but there’s plenty of things I dislike too.
Some AUv3’s crash Logic Pro (but so far they’re okay in Loopy).
Haven’t noticed a difference in battery life on either my iPad (M3 Air) or iPhone (16 Plus).
I don’t really like the glassy appearance.
Which one?
Overall I think the new windowing system is an improvement, acknowledging that some functionality has been lost there too. I’m waiting to be impressed by any of the “Intelligence” features, but not holding my breath. I like “liquid glass” less, the more I use it, and it has (of course) introduced a ton of little UI bugs that’ll probably take a couple years to get sorted. I appreciate the switch to model-year versioning.
As a music maker, I think I didn’t lose anything but didn’t gain anything either. Maybe the next release of Logic will be all Liquid Glass-y 🙃
Overloud is one of them.
Yeah I do find now that I'm missing the speed and simplicity of split screen and slideover, the windowing is powerful but far more fiddly
The "liquid glass" thing feels like a gimmick that looks impressive at keynotes and in commercials but is not really a productivity enhancement. I haven't been sitting with it long enough to form a full opinion, but definitely makes certain things harder to read. You can tweak some settings under Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Increase Contrast and Reduce Transparency. But what helped for me was changing my Wallpaper to the "Shadow" setting.
When using Mail in portrait orientation, I hate how your email message is now narrow and there is a sidebar you can't get rid of. The only way to get the email to fill the screen is by double tapping on the message in the side bar, which opens it in a new overlapping window. This is all extra work. (Or you have to get used to reading emails in landscape mode.) I much preferred the way it was. This feels like a step backwards.
And it is just me, but something feels changed about the keyboard layout and spacing. I keep making typos like crazy! WTF! I guess I'll need to relearn new muscle memory.
Another peevish thing.. On the lock screen, you can now make the clock gigantic size (which I kinda like), but the weather widget is TINY tiny, and I can't find a way to enlarge it. On the lock screen, I'm saying.
On the plus side.. The new Mac-like features are awesome. Something that we should have had long ago. But I think you really need to watch some videos about the new features to get a handle on it all. One might find oneself confused or frustrated if you run into some of this without doing your homework.
At the same time, it's all rather tucked away, and if you don't study up, you might not even know all this stuff is there.
It's rather brilliant how Apple seems to have struck a balance between adding radical new Mac-like features and at the same time the ability to keep working in the traditional non-windowing, non-multitasking iPad way, for those who prefer that. Or you can gradually explore the new. But for those who have been hoping for an iPad as a substitute for a laptop (not me, but I know people who have been, esp. academics who have to schlep around a heavy laptop all day), this is a major step towards that direction.
Still curious if anyone has installed on an iPhone 12 Pro. With no working Lightning port, a battery at 77% health, and a cracked back panel I’m worried about doing anything irreversible OS wise.
I have it running on a 12 pro max and haven’t had any problems with it at all so far
Once thing that bugs me so far, is my habit of a double-tap at the top of the screen to return a web page to the top.
The double tap now takes a full screen app into a window and vise versa.
Single tap Ed! Single tap…
We did thorough testing on iOS 26 and did not see that problem. Are you certain that you just don't have GeoShred Connect turned on under "Menu> MIDI"
GeoShred Connect is used when GeoShred on an iPad is used to control GeoShred studio on a Mac. It turns off the audio on your iPad so that you're not hearing both the iPad and the Mac. Setting it to "Off" should address the no sound issue.
Note that you can tell if it's turned on by it's turned on by looking at the MIDI information area in the preset switcher:
Yes, this feels like a feature designed for keynotes and shareholders rather than for actual end-users. I’d say the same about the vast majority of “Apple Intelligence” features with which I’ve interacted.
Hooray, it isn’t just me! I’m finding this to be the case on iPad and iPhone alike. It’s making me a bit crazy. For me, it applies to hitting button targets as well, like the problem is at a lower level than the keyboard, like they changed tap sensing or something.
Some useful info, have updated my iPad Air (4th) gen to iOS 26 and ifretless bass no longer loads as an auv in loopy pro. Also have the following issues with oneshot as an auv in loopy pro. Sending midi commands from loopy to oneshot to change effect parameters no longer works. Also, after recording e-drums to a midi loop with varying velocities all the recorded hits play back at maximum velocity (127) !
Damn the keyboard was already terrible since iOS 17. I’m pretty sure they changed how the keyboard works under the hood in iOS 17 and I’ve been fighting with it since. Trying to use swipe texting means I spend more time correcting words than typing, predictive texts are never (and I mean NEVER) what I would use next in a phrase, it refuses to make certain word combinations (try auto typing the word “me” after “kill” - it doesn’t allow it), it’ll change previously correct words to try to match an incorrect predicted word, etc. etc.
I miss flip phones with physical buttons. I used to be able to text crazy fast with T9 not even looking at the phone. No way I would even attempt to type short phrases without looking at my iPhone.
Yes, thank you! Shortly after, l posted that l had resolved the issue, and it was exactly that, the Connect thing.
I wrote elsewhere in this thread:
Thanks again!
iPhone 12, not Pro. Works fine.
I don't hate it quite as much as I thought I would. I'll adjust.
Same here!
