I'm guessing what they mean by the name is that the robot (representing the app) is the egoist because all he needs is the cassette (sample) in his mouth and he wants to do all the work himself without any outside help so that he can then claim all the praise for the finished tracks.
The Analyst is In!
Hint at the end of the teaser "Our instruments contribute to our thoughts"....
I wish that they had added this app into their bundle so I could add it for less. I have a feeling that they will later, but it will be hard to wait. Plus the intro price might cover that anyway.
I should be able to get non-EDM out of it. I'm on an American Primitivism kick lately and I still want the Egoist app, which is an indication of eclecticism or addiction or both.
Mmkay so I quickly wrote to SB about Audioshare, and it was forwarded to the (most bestest, awesomest, biggest, baddest, even more bestest, super duper awesomerer) dev. Connectivity is a very important thing for SB (ie MIDI in their apps is as good as it gets on iOS). No time frame at all given, even though they're only a handful of people things still needs to be coordinated etc (you know the dealio on all that already), but it's looking optimistic for Audioshare.
Btw, SB are here looking at everything people brings up. They're right there, in the corner over there. Looking. Staring. At you. Oh by the way, the name, it's still a mystery. Waiting to be unsolved I guess.
You're a weirdo. Don't change.
It have the same options in the ios version than pc version?
thanks Chris, been looking forward to this. can you edit samples destructively in the slicer or do you have to do your editing outside of the app?
Just an update.. I'm really loving this app.
Making some lovely beats. Really like the slicer and sequencer. The included drum samples are good, would love to add my own but it's great anyway.
I don't think I can resist. Sugar rushhhhhhhhhhhhh!
can you copy a slice out of the app?
Downloading....
Looks like this one will be a lot of fun.

no sample import in the drum machine?
I downloaded the PC demo and there something I don't understand.
While playing the demos each demo has a sequences change during its play.
Each with different slice data, bass, drums and different knob settings.
There is no where in the screen a marker to say where we are and a way to change the current sequence manually.
What am I missing?
Is the tempo universal? Or is it stored with each pattern?
@1P18 said:
Haven't checked the tempo but the timing division is saved with each pattern so I'm guessing tempo does too. Will check soon just uploading a jam to soundcloud
@kobamoto said:
Nope..

Hmm are you looking at song mode? Look at pattern mode it might make more sense.
I can't really explain how it works easily, would need to make a video or something. Maybe check the user manual?

thanks Buska
@chris just curious if they've said anything to you regarding sample import?
Ahh well. Had a jam to upload for you guys but just won't upload to soundcloud. Tried a variety of apps and just keeps timing out..
Looks like soundcloud upload doesn't work on ios8. Tried in audioshare/master record/audiocopy and fails the same way in all of them...
Any idea if it'll work on an iPad 2? Turnado works fine, and I'm a fan if SB so keen to support them
Damn it's like Geist or a Reaktor ensemble on an iPad.
Yes kobamoto, you can import samples into the slicer via ACP for now. Or directly from the iTunes lib. You can't import anything to the drum machine, but it's pretty well stocked with ~1000 samples. 30 or so kits, each kit has various sub- kicks, snares and hats as well (slide your finger up/down on the corresponding button to change sounds).
Thanks @Buska.
I found the problem. My Laptop resolution is not enough to show the bottom toolbar. I didn't see the pattern / song selector.

its identical to the pc version as far as I can see
Says it's 'iPad compatible' on the store so I guess I'll give it a go on my ipad2. Big download though and I'll need to clear some space. Bye bye iMPC Pro....
