I think the toggle switches being flipped is by design. I assume it follows some old school, hardware toggle interface.
It is an "ON" switch. When toggled up, ON is enabled, and when toggled down, ON is disabled. So ON is the name for the parameter it is affecting just like the knobs. But the fact that it's initially confusing UX is worth mentioning.
I haven't had this much fun with any electric piano app I've ever tested on the iOS. Bravo, Matthew! 🤩
Each instrument has its own release samples. The "Release" knob on the main panel controls that.
Okay, I'll buy a copy of Harmony Boom and check it out. I'm sure it can be fixed
That's a good idea, I'll add that to future features list
Whoa. Thanks! Mind if I add this quote to the App Store description?
You’re in for a treat! Beautiful app, both Ui and output. 🤙
hahah yeah.
It's pretty good tbh. The FSB keybed (I have the 76 but it's the same on 61) is very good at this price point. A big upgrade to the previous semi keybed.
but it works well.
The new searching and finding system takes a bit of getting used to
well that is not something native to a Rhodes which is an electro-mechanical unit. Pitch pinch is a guitar string technique. I get annoyed when folks start bandying about these "boutique" terms, and really have no clue! Mebbe it's a software thing added to an app, I have no idea, but in the world of Rhodes playing (and I have owned two models and an A200 W) I have never seen or heard the term or it being used. I HAVE heard about in guitar circles.
Please do, it would be my honor. 🤗
See, I am different I own pretty much all of em (windows PC ones too) and I am after the one that is the simplest. After all the Rhodes really only came with a volume and tone control knob originally. Everything else was EFX added to the audio path. We did mess around with tine settings and swapping in/out different pickups, but essentially it was the same mechanical operation. You just bought another pedal to add something
So having an app for a Rhodes that is modelled for a start, so less space, and takes it back to a basic "real" Rhodes setup is what I am all for. Then the app developer spends the development $'s on creating and providing the "after-jack" effects units.
This apps seems to have that covered pretty much. Although it not as basic and simple as I'd prefer, but that's ok
hahaha, one of my favourite apps was the Mr Ray from years back. Very simple and basic, but jeez, with some efx it did the job!
Rhodes and Wurly NEVER had sostenuto....why are you asking for a piano mechanical feature on a Rhodes? It's like wanting a sustain pedal on an organ.
Audiothing wurli is actually really good!
But not the presets unfortunately..
I took my time and achieved pretty nice results for each model, i can record and share them if you'd like.
Also neosoul keys 2 is pretty good.
Why? It's nothing a Rhodes ever had, nor was never planned for in production either. And in all my years of searching for Rhodes emulations in many forums and online, requesting or needing a sostenuto has never come up.
Don't over complicate it AM...just tweak what is already there. imo folks who want a sostenuto are not "real"
Rhodes players hahaha!
Please share your Wurli presets, that'd be great. I'm also not a big fan of its factory presets. I'm no expert on how a Wurli should sound, but I definitely like what I'm able to get from Wurly by tweaking from Init.
Anyone know how long this will be at the intro price?
I agree with keeping UIs simple.
Wait until the vibe coders experience feature requests...
"Didn't have sostenuto, 1 Star!"
"Has sostenuto, 1 Star!
Want to give everyone a chance to try it, so probably another week or two
I have just been trying this for 5 min and I love the sound. But I don’t like the noise, where’s it coming from? The reverb? Not all presets have it
Try the fan-looking knob in the retro tab.
Love the app, by the way.
Will do that, thanks, like I said it sounds lovely, and only a few minutes in, I should have kept my mouth shut
Been playing with it all day- the amount of piano you get out of this is incredible. Whether spit firing notes(polybud) or arranging slow chord progressions(StepBud) you pretty much have the piano covered.
Oh and with arpeggiators like kaleidoscope you can really get some beautiful sequences.
There are definitely times where I could use some sustain on my organ.
Where did you take that from? Didn't mean to criticise what you wrote or asked in any way.
I know and it sounds kinda mood ( for such a good app ) and I have only played my piano a few times. It does appear to make it better though.
wonder what the warple knob is doing exactly. sounds like microtonal magic to me.
You’ll end up with a better release.
Thanks Folks!
The Harmony Bloom issue is fixed. Will be in next update.
And thanks to @Gavinski who sent me a debugging video for the issue
Oh God 😂
They’d likely wanna drop off the forge I mean face of the earth
Dannnnng!
Saw this on their website.
