@korakios - same problem here.tried to record from fiddlewaxpro to record a chord
progression.Checked the midiconnections seberal times but nothing is recorded.
So I think it only works with external keyboard?!
@koriakos & @Schimanski - You simply have to use the keyboard in Pro Midi.
yeah - but ProMidi should be able to accept incoming midi notes from another app running. (I tried this briefly yesterday sending midi out from Terra Synth - no luck either) Not a deal-breaker for me - but would be nice if this feature got sorted out. (and also being able to set a ROOT NOTE for different scales other than C)
I'm not having any problems with it. Be sure to select the source app and channel, arm the clip to record, press the row play button, and it captures what I'm sending.
I isolated the problem. If I choose a specific source I can't record the same synth. But if I set the midi source to "all" ( and choose the right midi channel) ,I can record the synth's keyboard. Unfortunately I can't test it with hardware midi IO for now...I may contact the dev , I really like the app, simple and made for jamming....
PS. I do not load the synths via IAA.( if it makes difference)
I did specify the source, and I'm not referring to iaa either. Not sure what the difference might be, but I'm glad to hear you found something of a workaround.
Strange, I don't get any stacked note, automation seems to be saved normally , interapp works for my synths. Which ones crash? As far for pianoroll the only glitch I had is with the selection tool , more like a graphic/drawing glitch, the selection area remains when bringing up the midi CC automation tab .but if I tap somewhere else it disappears.
Sorry for bother you again, could you check this with Magellan or Thor (if you have the apps and find some spare time)? Thanks!
Not my experience - worked perfectly when I tried it out.
It works okey for me. Nave, Thor, Terra...I just want to see Chrodion or Soundprism sending midi notes to Pro Midi
I had problems with Magellan. Everything seemed ok in the setup. Thor worked fine.
Thanks @funjunkie27 , I'll double check Thor. BTW I said email to the developer and wait for feedback. Also asked him if he has time to join here and help....
I have Chordion and will try later to send midi notes. If Thor works for you too, maybe I do something wrong....
Thanks for the suggestion . I prefer using a synth's keyboard cause in most cases is more advanced.
Played with this and Module last night and while I'm not really clear about it yet (that's the thing about it being better than Auxy, it's also less obvious than Auxy it was a pleasant surprise to be able to use the built-in keyboard which is better/bigger than that in the Korg device...
Is there a reason why I can hear notes played on Pro Midi keyboard but not in piano roll? Also does the metronome not lock with the transport?
Also it seems to me they've based this on Ableton. Which is cool but they should then try and implement some more features like Ableton. Like the ability to double or half time selected midi notes. A random note generator would be nice.
Not an instant 'hit', I need to look at it some more...
Sendind midi notes from Chordion and SoundPrism works ok. I don't even read the manual yet but need to test cc's and how's about recordings and export options.
It is strange that the loop portion defaults to 3 bars not 4, but you can move the loop point to be longer/shorter than that. It's right at the top (small triangle). There is also an active region bar at the top - don't get the two confused.
I can't get iMPC Pro to work with it, Auxy doesn't pick it up either, but I think you need to use it via Tabletop to do this anyway.
Tried getting working Thor and chordion again with no luck ,so I hard reset my iPad mini ,uninstall midi pro ,reinstall and now stucked in loading... No way I can remove the app...Arggggggg....
Same thing happens to me with Laplace. Sequencer doesn't work but I can play the internal keyboard live.
I was able to play Laplace from the keyboard in Pro Midi as well as from midi recorded into a cell of Pro Midi. Recorded Chordion into Pro Midi. Played back midi into Thor. Beathawk didn't work directly from Pro Midi but using Midiflow solved that problem (some apps listen for midi but don't have virtual ports you can send midi to). I recorded chords from Fiddlewax Pro into the app. Got the app to record and play out to Magellan. Couldn't record from Tera Synth but could play it from the app.
Anyone tried Pro midi with Auria?
I sent a support request as to my issue. I'm actually thinking of getting Lemur for iPad for Midi programming, it seems to be one of the better solutions.
I got the app but don't like it.
It only goes in the output slot?
I couldn't get Thumbjam to work or Thor.
Maybe it's just me.
We could send mails to the dev and wait for feedback

@RustiK Pro Midi can record and playback midi which can be used to control other midi apps. To setup midi you need to go to the gear and select connection. You can specify which apps send and receive midi. It's important that the correct midi channel in Pro Midi and your other midi app are the same or omni to record and playback the midi.
I was able to play and record midi with Thumbjam.
Update:
After hard resetting and managed to reinstall ProMidi , Thor is working! Still no way to get chordion , Magellan, Gallileo recording....
I can't sync Pro Midi with with Auria, only with Beatmaker 2 and only as slave...:-/Anyone know how to sync this thing? I can do it by ear and pressing forward but is not the best way:\
Thanks for your response.
For me I can get some things synced up through IAA, but when I load the song again the instruments automatically load but no longer work. Weird.

You mean the instruments you load in Pro Midi, right? if Pro Midi doesn't folow any clock is useless.
