'We've just fixed this issue, and now in the beta test stage for submission. A minor update will be available soon. Thank you for your patience'.

Hopefully by 'soon', it is customers wanting to sort out their issue 'soon', not their roadmap 'soon'!...

    We will 'soon' see..

  • The no iM1 IAPs in Gadget issue?

It's for the iOS 7/crash etc..

But that may also be involved in the update.

  • Bah! Baaaah! :(

  • Fingers n toes crossed! :-)

  • "@korg_iapps: @akvalley @Chris1a1 Hi guys, sorry for the trouble. We're now working hard on this issue."

    Yaaay!

  • Another update for Gadget is up but version on my iPad says 1.2.1 while the update on App store says 1.2

  • Does it work reliable as IAA in Cubass?I'm still looking for THE rompler on iOS with the ability for multimode.Since Roland released just a half baked solution where nothing is saved i'm looking at Korg now.I saw that it's eight part multitimbral, can i save these as multis and anyone tried it on more than 1 Chanel in Cubasis?

  • @Crabman

I just set up a 4 part multi without problems, it takes a little planning since IAA is 'one instance only'.

So to make it work put iM1 on an audio track in Cubasis and create a few midi tracks that send midi output to iM1 on different channels.

Okay, 30 minutes prior to updating Gadget to 1.2.1, I updated my OS to 8.3. I figured "not being able to access things via iFunBox is not nearly as frustrating and aggravating as not having full access to my iM1 IAPs in Darwin". THAT didn't work. Now I got the new Gadget update, and it STILL didn't work! What gives?

    Update: https://support.korguser.net/hc/communities/public/questions/202939810-The-1-2-1-Gadget-update-didn-t-fix-the-iM1-IAP-Darwin-problem-

  • The only added info I see is:

’Fixed a startup problem on iOS 7'

    So..

Okay, I didn't see that. I just hope Korg fixes things soon.

    :-)

Slight topic change! Does anyone get white-noise sound on various 'Module' presets when using within Gadget?

Thanks! One more question:it has a"chord"button but the manual just says"play chord sounds".Are they pre defined or can i save my own chords (hit the button and press the keys). Can i save this with programs?

  • Gadget 1.2.1 Update is working for iOS 7.1.2 so far...

  • Is there a way to edit the name of samples imported via Audiopaste? They all show up as 'General Pasteboard X.'

You are awesome! I finally figured out how to do multitrack midi with the CZ and now the M1. Just tried this in MTS with virtual midi. Thanks!

Not as far as I'm aware at this point, but if the Korg spies are watching I very much wish they would implement the same...

  • I feel the same about naming tracks. If you long press a track name, it gives you the option to append with Drum, Bass, Lead, and Pad, which isn't much help if you've got more than 4 tracks. If there's a way to name tracks, that I'm unaware of, please let me know!

Just updated to Gadget 1.2.1, now my IAP's have disappeared. (From Darwin).

    Not gonna sweat it though!

It's a bit up n down in the Korg house. Hehe

    :-) Yeah! Why worry..

Plus I've got a load of other music apps that need delving into to keep me occupied. :-)

  • OK, looking to take the plunge into the Korg stuff. Considering iMS20 or Gadget. Just curious, as for Gadget export to .als for Ableton does it require my project in Ableton to be a certain sample and bit depth? If you have Gadget how have you implemented in your production? As for the iMS20 do you consider it a a must have like Animoog or have you passed it over for other synths?

  • Hmmm @Holiday, that's an interesting choice you've set yourself. Quite an either/or. I'm afraid I can't help you with Ableton, don't use it, but I do consider iMS20 a must have but for every note I generate out of it I generate a cathedral full from Gadget.

If'n you have the choice, always both.

    For me it's been a 'should-I-get-it' for a year and a half now. (iMS-20)
When I was using iPhone (before my iPad) it was one of the 1st apps that drew my interest, that and Tabletop, (I have neither).

Even with the price this low I wonder what +'s it would have for me. So many apps now! But it's a classic. I watched some vids (again!) a few weeks ago, but still haven't pressed the buy button.

As you may know, I'm all iPad now. No pc using. (Regarding Ableton)

Added: still have time on this sale, so who's to tell...

More added: I'm trying to hold off as much as possible for (what I consider to be) The Big One! ;-)

Even more added: if iM1 didn't integrate with Gadget, I doubt very much that I would have purchased. Same with Module.

You want more: Gadget into stems into Auria, job done!

  • I hope that eventually there can be a direct export from gadget to auria. It can be done with iTunes or Dropbox, but cutting out that step would be very nice.

Just finished adding my custom drum kit sounds to Bilbao. The process is super easy when downloading them from Dropbox. Tap the pad, then tap the orange Sample button, select Import, then Dropbox, navigate to a folder with your sounds and select one of them.

    >
Now the trick which will save you some time and effort - DON'T close the popup window, or you will have to repeat the same actions for every pad! Just tap the next pad and select the next sound file in the popup window, and so on. And don't forget to save your new kit (program in Gadget)
    >
Btw. it accepts .aiff files w/o any problems

Wow. Thanks for this. One of the (many) things I love about this place is how someone can pass along a simple tip for something simple that you've just been too simple to do/figure out.

This import method works so smoothly and quickly and takes me in a single leap from avoiding making whole kits to renaming my child, you know, Kit. That awesome.

  • Hi @yug, Many thanks

@JohnnyGoodyear is my walky talky which is making me noticing Bilbao and Dropbox intergration!

  • Well I got about a month to decide. Maybe I'll get both.
